Delicious food. Love the appetizer sample platter... we were able to try them all and find our favorite (the empanada). We both had the Cuban sandwich since that is what we were searching for when this place came up. We both loved it. The pork was so full of delicious flavor. The restaurant was rather small and bland but they made up for that in serving great food!!! We will definitely be back!!!

Authentic Cuban fare! I grew up in Miami FL, Cuban roots, and this place is the real deal! One of my fav places in Minnesota to eat, a taste of home

El Cubano is highly recommended!! We were there twice this week, and there's enough on the menu to keep going back! The mother/daughter team is fantastic, serving up delicious, authentic homemade Cuban and Dominican fare. Great atmosphere - we look forward to the outdoor season when their festive patio opens up again, too! Lu & M

It was early so service was a bit slow for my lunch hour. But it’s worth it here.. amazing food at 11am.

This is by far the best place in the Twin Cities to eat. I could eat here every night of the week. I'm not sure there's one bad thing on the menu. Do yourself a favor and follow them on Facebook so you get notifications on what the specials will be. The owners are amazing people. You can tell the food is made by someone who cares and has love for what she does. A true gem.

Best Cuban food outside of Miami! The appetizer sampler is excellent. Family owned and operated.

I tried this a couple months ago. I've had a Cubano a few times in my life but never a Dominicano... so I wanted to try it.

It was a bit smaller than I anticipated. It wasn't quite as loaded as torta sandwiches I've gotten at other places (the meat itself was kind of small). It tasted okay. It wasn't super quick.

There's a decent amount of seating (indoor & outdoor). There isn't a parking lot, so it's street parking dependent.

I think it was around $16 including tax.

The fish I had was a little over done. It was Red Tailed something. But, all the appetizers were loved by my 3 daughters that were there. Also, the beef and shrimp must have been great, because my daughter's gobbled it up!! Other than my fish everything was Awesome!! It's a little pricey for my wallet.!! Good thing one of my daughters picked up the tab.!!

A group of 7 of us came for lunch for a birthday. Food was absolutely delicious and very affordable. The restaurant is counter-service, so you order and pay at the counter, and then the food is brought to you. The only thing I would have wished was for us all to have gotten our food at the same time, or at least more closely together. However, everyone loved the food and we can't wait to go again. Delicious.

Wonderful friendly & welcoming staff. Great value and nice big portions. We split:
- roast pork tostones (5/5 stars, loved the cilantro lime sauce)
- ropa vieja (5/5 stars, very flavorful)
- the Cubano (3.5 stars a little disappointed the pork was kind of dry and wished for more mustard or sauce)

Awesome food taste very homemade lady at the counter was very nice. There is a little wait time but that’s because your food is being made fresh. I recommend the empanadas my favorite.

Came for lunch. Very solid sandwich. The lady who took my order was also super friendly. A pleasant food experience that I would not be opposed to return for.
