I have lived off and on in Frogtown for 10+ yrs and am glad to see a coffee shop.
Pros: 1. Decor: it's airy and has great options for seating 2. I LOVE that the music is NOT loud
Cons: D- in customer service: they are curt and NOT friendly. The person at the counter looked annoyed just because she spoke so fast and I asked her to repeat herself and she looked annoyed. C- in food: creative names but actual food does NOT live up to the the hype. C: drinks are decent. Creative names but that's pretty much it.
Kid-friendliness: Airy and is big enough for strollers

I came here for the first time ever and glad I found it! I tried the U.N.I.T.Y chicken sandwich and oh my..it was delicious. It did take 15 to 20 minutes, but its a made to order, AND it was worth every minute. Only "complaint" is maybe less of the Sriracha mayo. But other then that I enjoyed and savored every bite. It also came with kettle chips and a pickle spear; I think the chips were Dutch Crunch, so the best brand of kettle chips, and had to be Claussen or another great brand for the pickle. You can tell they really care about flavor and quality. After eating my lunch, I was already planning a time to come back again. It's going to be my new favorite spot for a light, delicious lunch. Plus it's less then 20 minutes away from me, so I'll be back.

Flava is a true gathering place for community filled with connection, laughter, and energy! Everytime I walk in- I see a familiar face that offers comfort and sense of belonging. The coffee is great (my fav) and the smoothies are delicious! I've had the food a handful of times and it was really good each time. I am Gluten Free and Dairy Free and they have options.
The service is great for the most part. There are some times when I wished the people at the register and taking the order were a little more personable and inviting but overall, I've not had a bad experience and I go there on a regular basis!
I also appreciate the free parking and the decor of the cafe!
I would definitely consider Flava a "feel good" space and would recommend it EVERY TIME!
Ordered a bag The first one was great. I ordered another and picked up at 2 pm Tues Oct 22. There was nothing much is the bag. A huge change from the first one. If they don’t have enough for the bags they should not offer them

Wow!! Tried Flava coffee for the first time today with my partner and had a wonderful time! Delicious coffee, really warm espresso taste, offers nondairy milk and breakfast/lunch options, and the staff were very friendly. This place is welcoming, inviting, supports the community and is clearly social justice oriented. They have comfy couches, cute murals, cute lights and it isn’t too loud here either :) could see it as a nice study/relax spot. Will be back some time for sure

This is not an overstatement by any means when I say this is the best coffee shop in town. Get the Bell Hooks that has the perfect amout of brown sugar and maple syrup, and I am secure enough with my manhood to get the Ms Thang breakfast bowl. Get it! You will lick the ?!
