I went here for the first time a few days ago after passing it so many times. I got the sesame chicken (hot&spicy) combo. The chicken was okay, I feel like they could’ve gave a little more. BUT the chicken fried rice was so dang good! I used to prefer Mings Garden chicken fried rice but not anymore! That’s how good it is lol. I went back 1 day later just to get a large order of it ? seriously, try this place out.

I have been eating there for over 25 years. Food and service has always been very good. I just walk in and they know what I will order. Large amounts of food, and I get to take some home and get two meals in the deal. GO TOMMY AND KIDS!!!

I’ve been eating Golden Gate Chinese for 20 years. What can I say? 1st of all I spent a month in China where I ate at some is the finest restaurants in China and I was ate to eat at people’s homes as well. This is my way Of saying I would still choose Golden Gate. Secondly, the first time I ate there I ordered something I had never eaten and it is what I still order there 85% of the time. My favorite dish is Pork Fried Rice. Thirdly 8.5 years ago I married my soulmate but he’s a very picky eater however ever since I introduced him to GG he too has gone simply gaga for his favorite dishes extra-spicy Chicken fried rice, Lo Mien and a family favorite their crabmeat rangoons (when their “in”). But this is the biggest “proof” of how amazing and worth it GG is: we live in Southwest Minneapolis and GG is in St.Paul but in my house there is only one Chinese restaurant for us. Simply said we drive to St.Paul for Golden Gate.

customer service is always great! The cashier was attentive and smiled a lot and asked about my daughter! Tried a new dish it was ok should have just stuck to my usual chow main, fried rice ,egg foo yung!

Really good food, that doesn't need any extra spices, and at good prices. The staff is knowledgeable & friendly explaining their dishes.
