Absolutely stunning views from Cottage No.7 but all of the Cottages face the water, so the views there would be great as well. Everything you need is in the cottage and the Staff are all amazing! They are very helpful and really are second to none for great customer service. The location of the cottages, is not far from all the amenities, should you need them. This was such an amazing few days retreat and I know the next time, we will stay longer. Reserve in advance though, given this place is extremely popular.

Our go-to spot when visiting our home town. Nothing beats the views - sitting on the porch enjoying a coffee and watching the sunrise is good for the soul. Thank you to Dan for his hospitality, quick response to questions and requests. Heron’s best will always be our first choice!

We rented a cottage with a small dog and the cottage was a Dump my wife had to wash the floor it was so filthy. The bathroom heater didn't work but I guess who needs heat in December. The door frame was chewed by a large animal that tried to get out the dead bolt was broken the table chairs were broken you couldn't safely sit on them. The owners were aware of these issues I'm sure but there just interested in making money not spending it.

Dropped in today to check this place out. Very nice spot. Met the owner and had a great chat. Been under new ownership for 4 to 5 months now and a lot of positive changes. Busy spot, so word must be getting out. Wonderful coffee and great offering of sweets. Nice seating area with an amazing view. Looking forward to going back soon. Great to have a local business and see it supported. Highly recommended.

The service was great and the staff were very friendly! We had sandwiches and took them outside to enjoy the view. Would definitely recommend if you're in the area. The building also has a great little second-hand store with lots of items from local artisans!

The Heron’s nest cottages are an ok place to stay. The views are amazing and the location is perfect. Unfortunately the cottages are getting older and are need of a refresh. The maid service was nonexistent and we had ants crawling around on the floor. I wish they would spend some money to update cottages. Beautiful location but too expensive for get.

First time ever writing a review, but people should be aware prior to booking. I stayed at this establishment a couple of years ago with friends and remembered it being nice and clean, so when I booked recently for March break ski trip with the kids, I thought it was a sure bet, but boy was I disappointed! There were beers cans/cigarette butts/urine strewn around the entrance to the cabin. When we entered our cabin, it smelled like fish fry and the floors had not been washed. The kids thought it was blood, but likely just ketchup. The fireplace did not work, the smoke detector was off the ceiling and not in working order, the lamp shade was burnt and there was leftover food caked on the oven grill. Also, when I went out to my vehicle a little later, I fell off the step due to a loose board. It was overall not a good experience at all and I won't be back. The girl at reception was however very appologetic when I relayed my experience to her and offered to contact the manager. I was given a $50 rebate to compensate, which was a nice gesture, but I really shouldn't have had to pay a cent!

Great food, great service, amazing view, nice atmosphere... a hidden gem overlooking the ocean in Lawrencetown.

Quaint place for lunch, nice view and good homemade sandwiches and desserts. If you go, know they only take cash or debit, no credit so plan accordingly.

Stopped for lunch after spending time on the many beaches in the area. Had a delicious bowl of seafood chowder (haddock, shrimp and salmon). It is not your standard chowder so don't expect a thick cream broth. This is different with the fish cut small - no large chunks and a unique flavour. The owner told me that the recipe was her father's and she'd been making it the same way for the past 20 years! It came with a nice warm tea biscuit.
