My first time here. Was recommended by a St.Paul native. I ordered the BBQ Rib Tips plate with Baked Beans and Mac n Cheese. The ribs were good. Sauce was nice and the meat was very tender. Baked beans were also very good. However, that Mac N Cheese, not good at all. Dry as if it eas made with cheese powder rather that real cheese. Please consider a new recipe and make it smack! Other than that, I was pretty satisfied for the price($22.00) I say it with love. Overall, I give it a 8 out of 10. I will be back to try more items!

I grew up eating Hickory Hut and I'm usually satisfied with the food, but today everything was old and dry. I normally don't have to tell them to make it fresh, but today I should have. I came all the way from Brooklyn Park, to get this food. I was so disappointed with the chicken and the rib tips. Everything was so tough, it tasted like it had been sitting in the oven for hours. The hojo's and seasoned rice was good, but thats it. My advice to people is, make sure to tell them to make everything FRESH!!

I have been coming to hickory hut since I was about 2 years old (I'm not 38) back then it was Art Songs ... But anyways ,this is honestly the best chicken wings on earth .. I have traveled to many states eaten a wide variety of chicken wings .. But nothing compares to these .. they have the best flavor , texture , amount ,sauces ... Trust me ,if you havent ,you'll want to try this ,specifically for the chicken wings . I know it looks run down and the staff seem to be less than friendly but believe me when I say it's worth it .

Food was disgusting. Idk if there is new owners or what but things do not taste the same they did back then I’m sorry 🤮 rib tips seemed like the were old hot link was super greasy red beans and rice was tasteless and coleslaw was watery

Wings were decent. Oddly seasoned, seemed like 2 or 3 of the 12 we got tasted like anything. The others were bland. Mac & Cheese was subpar and that’s putting it lightly. It was powdered and clumpy. My fiancée couldn’t even give the greens a second bite. Bland and bitter. Ho jos were the best tasting part of the meal, seasoned and flavored better than the wings. Hella soggy tho. Can’t say I’d give it a second shot. We didn’t get the red beans and rice we ordered and paid for. Grand total of $63 dollars spend at the hickory hut…. For what should’ve been roughly $40 dollars based on quality. Maybe not even….

They put tobasco sauce in rib tips, diverting them from the original Art songs recipe and taste. Wings are not seasoned heavily like the original Art Songs wings. Hojo's were fried hard and dry .. the original Art songs hojo were juicy and not fried hard like chips. This is NOT Art songs worthy food. I grew up eating Art Songs on 38th and Nicollet Ave south. Save Ya Money

The food is good but , I Don know what to say about Mn they Don’t know nothing about getting money i’m from Chicago and ain’t know way a restaurant that sell soul food closed on a Sunday or at 8p.m on a weekday

I have been coming here for 30 some odd years ,tonight I had the worst experience ever here! I ordered and paid for xx seasonings and I got none of that my chicken was Old and stale no seasoning on it my rice was lukewarm with no extra seasoning on it which I had ordered I order the extra piece of Texas toast I didn't get that also the other person eating with me found the same experience with her food I always rave about this place and always recommended to my friends from out of town well let's just say I won't be doing that again I was totally embarrassed last night so thanks for doing a bad job hickory Hut never expected that from you all.
