I went to Homi because I was really in the mood for birria taco's and I had seen there sign out front saying that they sold them... these are the best birria tacos I've ever had, they are so tender and juicy and flavorful and the consumé is the same! If you are looking for some delicious birria tacos I would go here. I went two days in a row for lunch.

I ordered takeout Birria Tacos and Tamales with rice and beans. The star of the show was definitely the tacos — they were huge, packed with cheese, and the beef was perfectly seasoned and flavorful. The birria tamales weren’t bad, but the chicken was too dry and almost inedible. The rice was undercooked and hard, which was disappointing. But honestly, I’d still order the birria tacos again — they were worth it! 🌮🔥

Wow what an amazing restaurant! Everything tasted very clean and fresh. Went to the Sunday buffet. It's about $20 which includes coffee. Though, for the offerings and quality of the food I would've paid close to $40. Homi feels like you are stepping into a warm home for a good meal. The buffet quesabirra tacos were hands down better than most I've had at other restaurants made to order.

Support this local business and bring your friends only if they can handle real mexican food! I will be back, often.

I was very disappointed !! The food had no seasoning to it what so ever..I order the carne asada tacos and the carne asada burrito (large).
I will not ever be going back due to how expensive the food was for the quality. My burrito cost 16 bucks and was filled with lettuce and tomatos and a slither of meat. If you are used to good Mexican food then this isn't the place to go.

ughhh i used to love this place but my experience recently was such a let down😣 i came in mid day there was no one in the restaurant calm vibe but i don’t know if the owner was having a bad day or what but she had a off-putting attitude when i placed my order i got 3 entrees and a side add on but when i was waiting for my food, the chef I’m presuming came and asked if i wanted onions and cilantro on the side but he said tacos which i didn’t order but i literally just placed my order and was the only customer so i assumed he misspoke because i ordered a birria quesadilla. i thought it was kinda odd because in the several times i’ve came here i’ve never had the chef ask me anything i’ve always talked to the cashier or the owner herself but hey i sat back and waited for my food when i received it i realized i was given tacos instead of the quesadilla i ordered but i didn’t want to difficult so i went about my day but when it came time to eat i was completely disappointed, the sopes i had were wonderful but my tamales looked like they’ve been sitting for hours & it had some random hard burnt parts throughout, very dry. their tamales have always been full sized but for some reason it looked like they chopped one of them in half? the birria consommé was full of fat didnt even try to remove or skim some of the fat just straight up unappetizing for the 50 dollars i spent i could’ve gone elsewhere with higher food quality and reasonable prices compared to what I got sadly wont be coming back i prefer not to be treated like a afterthought when I’m the only person in your restaurant 😭

Once nice to certain ppl and those those that come with certain ppl, for crying out loud take the 10:00am open signs down if you're not going to be open during schedule time, it's weird to be standing outside looking through glass.

Honestly, I don't like buffets. But this Sunday buffet was different. Tamales, quesabirria, consomé, chiles rellenos, enchiladas, why choose when you can have it all? I'm for sure coming back.

Took my dad here his birthday and it did not disappoint! The Birria tacos (esp the consume) was unbelievable flavorful. Also love that the horchata was creamy and not too sweet. The prices are crazy reasonable for the portions size! The staff are soso friendly and gave us plenty of tips on how to use our leftovers :)

We spent $118 including state tax, non cash/card fee and tip on a Friday afternoon. We were so full, the portion sizes were huge and it tasted amazing!!! We had leftovers for the whole family when we got home! Money well spent and would definitely recommend 10/10 - The fan blows cold air so bring a sweater if you run cold! We ordered chips/guac, 2 sodas, Birria tacos x2, steak/chicken quesadillas, beans/rices and elote x2…. The Sunday buffet seems like the best value!

My husband and I have been coming to Homi for several years now since we moved to Frogtown. The food and service here is OUTSTANDING. On Sundays the owners do a Mexican Buffet from 10-3 and it is so so good. My husband’s family is Mexican, so he enjoys how authentic their food is. Their premier entree are the birria tacos which are out. of. this. world. Do yourself a favor and get them. They’re great folks to have in the neighborhood.
