been on the phone with minnesotacare for an hour on hold and haven't talked to a single person, literally ridiculous. hire more people.
Asking about my staff being given their $1000 Minnesota Care Force incentive since October 2024 and constantly getting the runaround. Would someone please contact me?
On hold for over 2 hours as of now..have 2 phones going too...the worst.
I hate this place because I need help and they keep assigning me to the same worker this lady is so damn disrespectful to me it's ridiculous she even laughing my face and hangs up on me.
They never try to help.
They give you a form that not even the court can get access to for a background check, then they make you email, which they respond with the same instructions that are given every time you click to download the file that NEVER populates. What even is the address or contact number for this form?? Who knows. Again not even the court house could help me because they couldn’t get it to download either. Days in, and beyond frustrated with a ridiculous system, that I am obviously not the only one having a hard time with.
The process is slow
The worst of all state agencies. Does any public worker want to work anymore? I understand remote work, but does it really take a whole week for someone to get back to me just because they are "working from home"? It sounds like you can't manage your time and should be working in the office under close supervision. Hire state workers who actually want to work.
I have called over and over again about my address change and im 4 months pregnant havent been to a doctor yet because they want to say im living in a different county when im not.
Once again, another entity to pass the buck, in its failure to taken action on serious healthcare issues of dereliction of duties, assaults, bullying, mistreatment, and emotional and physical abuse of the most vulnerable of citizens of this state

I have called many times for the phone line to get disconnected. How can this be a state service when you can’t reach them at all? It’s ridiculous. I understand there’s not that many staff but at what point will there be staff to help people at such high call volume ?
It's tough... I have empathy for DHS and what they do which I've developed over many years of working with them. I work with DHS on a daily basis and I worked there as an employee over a decade ago. I had a chance to read all the reviews before mine and I see truth in all of them since health and human services is a highly specific and sensitive issue. DHS is often tasked with serving those who the rest of society has neglected or failed to provide for. Period. If a company or family member was tasked with providing service (without help) to an individual with any health needs (especially complicated ones) I suspect their review rating would average what DHS has listed. The fact of the matter is DHS serves those who do not otherwise have a fallback in their health and is often restricted by limited resources and archaic state and federal rules (really the complaints should be with the legislators!) I'm rarely happy with DHS's actions, but then I ask myself - if DHS was not there, would some other entity or person do DHS's tasked job as good or better than them? I find that question hard to answer. In our personal lives or businesses we have the ability to cut contact or services to someone. DHS does not have that option. I think there is plenty of room for improvement at DHS and I encourage everyone to have their voices heard both here and over at the Minnesota State Legislature.
The way some of their workers treat people is so sad I am the type of person whenever I need assistance from them and it's not often and all I get is food stamps and I go to purity hell they will keep asking for the same things that I keep sending up there or taking up there and then have the nerve to get mad when you give them a call and try to get your stuff worked out. I had one lady tell me that I was screaming at her and hung up on me twice wouldn't give me the supervisor number to talk to or anything I'm just over this place out here. It's just sad
I need an out of state birth cert., today is mar. 15th, they said they were working on sending out the january requests,.,not the state I grew up in - for sure..what happened? just gross.
Unfortunately we are stupid. Go Canada. They should probably take over
