Food was okay, chicken wings looked like they were undercooked as they had been considerably pink, but not raw; otherwise had decently flavored seasoning. Deep fried shrooms were also okay, better if they were made from scratch (as in, with fresh, not frozen ingredients). Service was friendly, atmosphere leaves much to be desired.
Got the catfish & fried shrimp combo which comes with fries. Ate there because fried food is always best immediately & this was no exception. Fries and shrimp were crispy and delicious. Shrimp and catfish are both good-sized and you get plenty of both (2 big filets, 10 shrimp).
Had to try the carrot cake - it was ok but not a stand-out.
There is no atmosphere, but you don't come here for atmosphere, you come for hot, crispy food and JJ delivers....

I love this place when I just don't care about what I am eating and just want some darn good deep fried food! Fries are amazing and the catfish is tender along with the chicken tendies.
