We've been enjoying Joan's for a number of years, both for special occasions and a relaxed date night. The food has been consistently excellent, with the menu changing periodically. Our most recent experience managed to provide many of the types of dishes we love and expect, while adding a few elements of surprise. While the food will always be enough to keep us coming back, Joan's truly excels with service. The staff is friendly, consistently well-trained and seem genuinely appreciative of their customers. For special occasions they always add little extras - a bit of table decoration, a complimentary glass of champagne, a sip of something that matches perfectly with your food choice. The atmosphere is calm and relaxed for the most part, but the food and service have an elegance that elevates the experience. Worth the trip and relative expense for the terrific experience.

It was an amazing dining experience and a perfect choice for our evening. The food was outstanding. We particularly recommend the chicken liver mousse, pappardelle, and the lamb chop. Though everything we had was delicious, these stand out. The service was perfect: attentive and welcoming without being intrusive or fawning. We are already planning out next trip to Joan's!
