The food here is such an incredible value. Most things are under fifteen dollars, including the house made pizza, which is price fixed no matter the toppings you choose - at $13 I believe it was. It is good neighborly kind of place and I love it. Full bar, free popcorn, good beer selection.
Average hole in the wall, typical bar; separating itself by its friendly, safe, personable staff. This establishment has reasonably priced cocktails and the west 7th charm you are looking for. Dan has helped me most often and is exactly what i need in a bartender his clever witty demeanor sets the tone to the perfect night cap destination.
Came here after a wasted Uber to St Paul Tap when they have it all over that they were open til 2am only to lock ppl in and out at 11:45pm. So we took another Uber to Joe and Stan's and had a great time. Met some fun locals, had some good drinks, and learned about how SPT likes to take your ID and run it through some machine that will post it on a big TV screen for everyone to see where you live and your personal info. It's a NO from me dawg. Imma keep dragging St Paul...
