Thank you for an amazing experience last night! The crew is fabulous and the food - the FOOD - oh my - playful and delicious. Can't wait for your next chapter.

A wonderful chef-driven menu with creative and friendly staff.

I have been to two different tasting menus and in for their burger menu. This is the kind of restaurant that I get really excited about because things aren't run-of-the-mill. There's potential to have a really unique, exciting experience here. Essentially, for anyone who doesn't know, just/us is run by a small team of four chefs and a hostess (plus another who runs the marketing side). Food is brought to the table by the chef who cooked it. That concept alone is really cool, but the food itself makes this place worth a visit alone. For those scared off by the $45 price fixed menu, their burgers are an experience in themselves. They are GOOD burgers with inventive combinations. However, if you can foot the bill for one of the tasting menus, do it. I'd say it's best if you wait until their a menu released that really excites you whether from the theme or some of the specific ingredients, but I haven't ever been disappointed here. Follow their social media if you want to avoid missing a themed menu as they change every three weeks or so. Decor-wise, this place's focal point is really the food. The inside of the space is a bit plain, but well-kept. Outside, you'll find a small, pay lot for parking right next door, but it's often full. Across the street is a parking structure that will cost ~$10 to be a crosswalk away. Otherwise, there's metered parking for several blocks around it, but sometimes it's hard to find a spot. For anyone that hasn't been, please try this place. It's a really fun option in Saint Paul.

My wife and I randomly stopped in to just/us on a Tuesday snowy evening. Burgers were amazing! Staff were super friendly. The chili had a little more kick than we like, but it was still fabulous. I'd definitely recommend this spot to anyone. Plus, they had local musicians playing all night!

We loved our burgers and the spicy/sweet salad. Good coffee, and wine for her. Staff is accommodating and friendly. We'll be back!

We came here for their pre-fixe menu, and that menu changes, so I won't bother with reviewing the food in too great of detail. The concept is that every few weeks the chefs get a new "theme" and they build a menu around said theme. Interesting idea and I like that it keeps things fresh. The theme for our menu was something to do with warmer weather, fitting for a middle of winter dinner. The food was good. There were definitely some stand out dishes, but again they will probably be gone by the time you get there. The sizes of the dishes were good though. Enough to fill you up and let you enjoy, without overwhelming you. There was a standout pork dish for me, but I couldn't imagine eating a full plate of it because it was so rich. The only thing I have to ding them for is the confusion their website puts you through. It is a small space, so they say you should reserve a table for dinner. When you reserve a table though you are saying you want the pre-fixe dinner. They also make it really unclear online if the burger menu (which looks AMAZING) is available. They also say that you can order some of the pre-fixe a la carte, but that wasn't an option given to us when we sat down. Not a horrid thing, but just a minor annoyance that it was hard to navigate what food would be available. Still, I was very happy with what I got. I would also say the pacing felt a bit rushed too. I felt like by the time I had just finished the last bite of one dish, the next one was coming out. I get that they have three preset dinner reservation times so they have to be speedy, but I would have liked a little more breathing time. The only thing that stops them from getting a 5 star is that there is another restaurant with basically the same concept for a similar price, and they do it slightly better. The food at the other place felt more refined and a bit more elegant. The food here was good and I would happily go back, but they come in second for me on the rotating pre-fixe concept menu place. Really want to come try their burgers though some time. Look amazing! 5/100

Love this place! A six course menu for about $45 that changes every three weeks yes yes yes. We will be checking their website for the their next tasting menu. They also have a burger menu that I need to go back and try. I really don't rank things according to service, I'm all about the food, but the service here was great. The chefs themselves serve and explain the dish. The tasting menus are based around a theme. The theme when we went was brunch. Course 1: Crushed Smoked Salmon/egg yolk salad/ English muffin: This one was good. When they say crushed salmon they mean crushed. The yolks were great. Course 2: winter citrus/ thai basil yogurt/ togarashi granola/ cashew butter: This was probably my least favorite course out of all of them. I wasn't a fan but I did taste something I never have before. Course 3: ful medames/tomato crisp/jalapeno slaw/parsley oil/housemade pits: Loved this! The ful medames was delicious, the tomato crisp added a little spice and that pita..awesome! Course 4: tajin pastrami/fried avocado/passionfruit mustard/habanero egg yolk salsa/pickled red cabbage & mustard seed: This I think was my favorite course! Loved how everything worked together. The Tajin pastrami I'm still dreaming about. Course 5: smoked pork belly/kataifi/quail egg/espresso gel/tomato coulis: Another great course! I'm not a fan of espresso but the gel here was great. The kataifi added a fun element to the dish, I loved it. Course 6: Steel cut oats/fenugreek banana butter/peanut milk/curried peanuts/smoked blueberry compote: This course was good. I loved the curried peanuts. Overall the experience and the food was excellent. I'll be back!

We were SO pleasantly surprised by the level of customer service, as we were a group of 4 that just walked in for a quick bite for a show at the Fitz. The waitress (busy as all get out) was so kind and quick on her feet to get drinks and menus, as we told her we were on a timeline. I ordered Al A Cart from the tasting menu, the BEST pesto linguine I've ever had and I've traveled extensively in Italy. My husband had the veggie burger and I kid you not, I preferred that over the any beef patty I've had in a long time. Well done! I'm coming back for the full tasting menu soon! Can't wait to go back!

Very, very good dinner last night. Enjoyed every course. Ingredients very fresh. The empanada, pork belly and dessert were incredible! I don't normally like beets but even the beet salad tasted great! Service spot on and great vibe. Thanks to Nate, Jesse and Sam for one of the best dinners I've had!

We had an excellent meal last night (a Wednesday) at just/us! There were a few other groups of diners but it was easy to have a conversation over dinner. The space is pretty bare bones and I vaguely remember eating sushi at this location not too long ago. The neighborhood doesn't have a lot of charm, but the food, service, and value definitely make up for that. Nate and Sam did an excellent job and we loved the fall themed dishes, especially a beet starter, an amazing empanada with really fresh and well-seasoned salsas, and a spectacular pork belly dish that was really well done and nicely carmelized and not overly fatty, the way it is at some other restaurants. It was 6 courses total for $45 a head, and we enjoyed a bottle of wine (can also do wine by the glass or beer). The portion size was really good - left feeling very satisfied but not overly full (and I would have cleaned every plate even if the portions were too big!). Definitely has early Travail vibes. All the dishes were plated really beautifully and we really enjoyed chatting with the chef at the end of the meal (the chefs serve all the dishes). Highly recommend! The menu changes every 3 weeks, so we will definitely be heading back soon to try a new menu! Our group found parking on the street ($2.50 for 2 hours) or in a nearby parking ramp, though this could be challenging on Excel event nights.

We didn't really know what to expect when we walked in the door. We were so excited when we found our evening would be an experience and not just a meal! We loved the presentation by each chef as they served their course. We got to hear about their back ground and their inspiration which made us appreciate each and every bite. The food was creative and delicious. We cannot wait to go back!

Delicious six course meal, perfectly portioned, creative tastes and artfully plated and presented. Excellent, knowledgeable service by the chefs who create the meals - and at an incredibly reasonable price. Our only desire was for a more extensive wine list - a pairing service for each course would really put it over the top. Oh - and maybe that it be in Minneapolis rather than lonely downtown St Paul at night!

I came here for a work lunch the other day excited to try a new place. It's not in the nicest building ever, but the inside is very nice, decorated with a modern industrial style. Lunch is just burgers, and while you can build you're own, they've got some pretty unique combinations to try. I went with the daily special, and unfortunately I can't remember everything that was on it! It had a atypical cheese, mushrooms, sweet potato aoli, and perfectly done patty. It was very good, but I think I'd stretch myself a bit more next time and try something else. I also had a side of pork rind fries, which were pretty good. The rind was a bit overpowering, so I think I would try the herb fries next time. I'm excited to have a new place to get lunch!

INCREDIBLE! I am from New York, which is a dining Mecca, and I think Just/us could rival any of them. An affordable six-course meal that's innovative without being pretentious or sacrificing flavor for innovation. If you're thinking about it, GO!

I'm guessing the meatier menus are way better judging by all the reviews. I'm a vegetarian so came for the veggie menu. Some of it was good but honestly I felt let down compared to the photos I've seen of the other menus. I think they can do it again with some tweaks. But until then, stick to the meaty menus you're more comfy with. 1st course: fried avocado taco. Pretty good, but quite bland. Great idea but didn't quite make it. Really needed some sauce, more crema maybe? The nectarine salsa was a great idea but it was just a few pieces of fruit. Perhaps smash some nectarines into an actual salsa. That would've been so great! 2nd course: salad, this was great and I don't even care for salads. Loved the crunch and sweetness of the walnut brittle. The pop of fizzy grapes was delightful! And the dressing was killer! A perfect dish. 3rd course: cabbage roll. While the sauce was amazing it totally overpowered everything else. You couldn't taste the filling at all over the sauce. And I love beets! I wanted to taste them. A little more of the cream maybe would've helped. At least that was another flavor on the plate. 4th course: carrots galore. This one really made me sad. I thought, "Huh, do they really think we just eat raw veggies all day? I can get that in my fridge." It was 3 chunks of raw, or mostly raw, carrots. A shaving of a purple carrot, and a carrot purée. The purée was DIVINE. And along with the candied sunflower seeds? Heaven! But raw carrots? There was also a puffy, soggy potato chip and overpowering blue cheese mousse. Mousse was great! Just too much of it. 5th course: squash noodles. This was pretty tasty and I've never had squash noodles. They were quite al dente, but maybe that's normal? The flavor was delish with a coconut Thai vibe, but it was literally just noodles. No actual sauce. No bits of veggies. 6th course: watermelon tartare, also known as cut up watermelon. It was cute how they tried to make it look like a fried egg on top but man that gelatin was thick and inedible. Didn't lend anything to the dish. And I'm assuming you used vegan gelatin since this is a veggie menu? Otherwise we just ate cartilage. The matcha foam had no flavor, but was pretty. Huge miss. Why on other menus do you get a yummy looking piece of spice cake but we got another totally raw, boring thing? I think you guys have a GREAT thing going here! I think it's cool that a few young people are doing this epic thing and with great success!! But I do think you'd need to study up on what vegetarians actually eat. Look at some recipes. Don't just guess. Before you'd try that again.
