Odd experience. We got combination plate #3 and a side of egg rolls. I’ve never seen chow mein look like this in my life. The strips of meat (or tofu?) was very processed and barely resembled meat. It only came with dried/ crispy noodles and the vegetables were mostly celery in a very thick cornstarch gravy. The fried rice had similar low quality meat. The egg roll was ok but the cabbage seemed raw/uncooked. The sweet & sour chicken was the best thing and quality chicken breast meat. Not sure if we had an off night or what? Photo of the “Chow mein”.

Quick service, amazing food at a low price, and hefty portions to boot. $30 for multiple meals of tasty food with lots of fresh vegetables and tasty rice

The food that I choose was very good, looking forward to my next visit to this Chinese restaurant. Give it a try 1240 Randolf in St Paul. Two blocks west of Lexington.

My sister and I have a cousin who is in hospice. She has little appetite and weighs only 95 lbs., but she likes chow mein. My sister called Kim's to explain our cousin's situation and that we planned to visit her the following day for her 11 a.m. lunch and bring her some chow mein. The owner told my sister we could come before the restaurant opened to pick up her lunch order. Not only was the food ready and hot, but he gave her extra chow mein and refused to accept any payment. He said he was glad to do this for her. Our cousin enjoyed her chow mein and said she would be having more for dinner. There are still good people in this world.

I found this place by mistake and so happy it happened. I had egg foo young chicken it was so tasty. The gravy/sauce was perfect. 3 nice size patties very flavorful and fresh. I have tried many over the years this brought me back to childhood. Suey-yup was the name I know I butchered the spelling. We use to go there back in 80s soooo good and this reminded me of that. I also had veggie fried rice which was delicious if you dont like brocoli I wouldnt suggest. I will return yum so fresh and delicious

As the newest Chinese cuisine critic to the Twin Cities, I'd like to congratulate Kim's on providing a delightful meal. I copped the Sesame Chicken and while many restaurants put too hard of a crust on them nuggets, Kims had an amazing soft coating. For a price of 9 bucks 'twas scrumptious

I am puzzled by the enthusiastic reviews of Kim’s Kitchen. We got take out last night and were very disappointed. The chow mien noodles came in a cellophane package instead of being fried fresh. The chicken sub gum chow mien had strips of tasteless low quality tofu, an infinitesimal amount of tiny morsels of chicken and the vegetables consisted almost entirely of celery. It was covered in a glutinous sauce made up mostly of corn starch. The pork fried rice was heavy and, again, virtually free of pork. The price was reasonable, but, since we threw most of it out, it couldn’t be considered a bargain.

We just made a large order from here and it was amazing! The lo mein, fried rice, cream cheese wontons, sesame chicken (and tofu) were delicious. Very impressed! Best Chinese food we've had in awhile and we will be making this our go-to place. Also- what a cute restaurant with kind and thoughtful service. Support your local business, yall.

I often give things five stars, sometimes undeservingly, but for this one, it truly is an amazing restaurant. Amazingly short wait times, especially for the quality of food, and the quantity is up there as well. The only drawback is that there is not a sizable dine in area, although this establishment does brand itself as a primarily take out place. Would highly recommend going! It is a touch on the expensive side, though.
