King Coil hosted a private event, and they were attentive, thoughtful, professional, and creative. The venue is fabulous, but more importantly, they provided incredible hospitality that elevated the event.

My husband, 7 month old and I walked into king coil spirits so I could take a look at the menu. My husband had gotten a beer from lake monster and I was looking for an N/A drink option so we decided to walk over. It was not busy inside but we were immediately approached by a lady who told us the beer could not be inside the building. So we left. We were disgusted by our initial impression and greeting that I didn’t even want to consider getting a drink. Instead of first welcoming us in and asking if we had questions, we were told in a snarky manner that beer cannot be inside the building. I am not sure how you expect to get business if you are telling customers to leave before giving a welcoming greeting and then letting us know once we make a decision on a drink we’ll have to have it outside. I will not recommend your establishment to friends and family.

More places should have trivia starting at 6pm on a weekday, the drinks are fierce too

I wish I could rate their pizza. We checked their hours before going there. The website said they were open and serving until 10. We got there at 9, a sign on the door confirmed the hours - Open until 10 on Thursdays. We walked in the door and were quickly told “we’re closed!”

Went here with my family to celebrate my sister's birthday. I never got his name, but the guy working at OG Zaza was incredibly generous. We got a second pizza for free and my sister got a free ice cream sundae. The pizza was amazing and the old fashioned from King Coil was delicious. If you do your research on how to order food and drinks, you will also have a pleasant experience. Will definitely return again when visiting the area!

Good cocktails. Really really really bad service. Told to seat ourselves. QR codes on the table took our money, but 20 minutes later, our cocktails hadn't arrived. Apparently the QR codes don't work. A chat with the bartender and another 15 minutes and our cocktails finally appeared.

We tried to go a month ago, but there was an event at the site, so we couldn't find any parking. I'm glad I tried again! The cocktails were great, and the pizza and burrata was delicious. The crust was amazing, and I was told they had just changed it. I had a flight of whiskeys, which were good. Had to get a bottle of rye to take home.

I love when places like this repurpose old industrial buildings. It makes a great atmosphere.

Didn’t go into king coil just ordered food while grabbing beers at lake monster so I can’t speak to the cocktails or atmosphere. We ordered a pizza and a sandwich which were underwhelming at best. The pizza had 0 crisp and minimal flavor. I’ve had frozen pizzas better than this. Very uninspired and clear that they don’t really care much about their food but will still charge like they do.

Our group was there specifically for happy hour at Lake monster. Many of us were ordering pizza from the patio. Several people were able to order successfully using the QR code, but a couple of us got stuck in a very weird cycle with needing to agree to purchase some weird subscription that was an overlay on the website. We subsequently went inside to order. Staff was very helpful. When my margarita pizza arrived, everyone at the table looked at it with a lifted eyebrow. I had requested a well done pizza. The crust was very oily, and very, very tough as if it was old and overworked and even kind of soggy. It was sad. Several people at the table commented on it. I ate a piece a friend had a half of a piece. I decided to not request a new one since I was already frustrated with the ordering process. I brought the rest home to compost. Other people thought their pizzas were ’okay.’ One person ordered salad and said it was ‘fine.’ We’ll probably be back for Lake Monster, not so much for the pizza. ?

Stopped to try the cocktail room. Great vintage industrial vibe, and good cocktails. Sat at the bar, the bartender was fairly inattentive, and I would just say surly. Missed out on an opportunity to get us to come back again and again.

This review is specifically for the pizza. We first had their pizza a little over a month ago and it was fantastic. We’ve since had it three more times and it has progressively gotten worse. Severely under cooked and soggy crust the last two times reminiscent of school lunch pizza. Wish it was more consistent.
