First time visit and I had the impression to order pho, but the menu selection was very exciting. The organization of the menu is real easy to read. I must say the prices of the appetizers and entrees are affordable. Which helped to order more than 1 item to explore and enjoy something new.I ordered the Pad Thai with Tofu. The taste was on point and a great portion. Ended up taking half of the Pad Thai to go. The limes really helped me enjoy the noodles and the sauce selection at the table was helpful. By the way - the tofu was cooked perfectly. Crisp on the outside, but soft on the inside. I would order this again in the near future.Someone please invite me.I also ordered Oyster Chicken Wings and it was crazy. I couldn’t believe how crispy each wing was and the sauce was delicious. Next time I visit Kong’s Kitchen I’ll make sure to ask for 2 orders. ? These wings are the best in Saint Paul hands down. The service was decent. No complaints about the food whatsoever. So excited to come back.

So I went not only because I was in the area leaving a meeting but also because of the Facebook review by blackfoodietravelguy I was not disappointed the oyster wings were so good the rice was excellent the service was great I commend the 2 young ladies working the dining area it was getting busy really fast but they handled everything so well I want to especially thank the younger lady who served me my food I wish I caught her name but I left her a nice tip not only was her customer service top tier but she let me use her charger while I enjoyed my meal and for that I am truly appreciative although I seldomly visit St. Paul any time I’m there I’ll definitely stop back in and try more of their food .

This was a good hole in the wall of a restaurant to eat at. Very intimate place to have a quick meal. The food was popping and the customer service was great. The food came out quick, fresh and hot. I will definitely be back for the shrimp fried rice and Oyster chicken wings.

These might be the best pork egg rolls I’ve had in the twin cities. So crispy and flaky. And the beef lo mein was nicely sauced. The music was a little loud , but we were seated near the speaker. Was a little disappointed that the music wasn’t censored since we had a first grader with us. I ate the egg rolls too fast to take a picture.

The overall experience was "MEH," but still better than Saigon Express. Would I return here? No, they charge customers a credit card fee. It's the cost of doing business, customers should not have to pay for your expenses.I don't recommend eating here if you're on your lunch break, waited 30 minutes for our order. The people who were seated 10 minutes after us received their appetizers first. The spring roll wrappers were hard towards the ends, I do not recommend getting it. The pho was okay.

Kong’s Kitchen has been on my list to try ever since they opened but I’ve been hesitant because of mixed reviews. Finally I decided to try it. I ordered through UberEats for delivery: special pho combo, raw laab and spring rolls. If a restaurant is serving spring rolls, it’s hard to miss the mark. I mean it’s just fresh herbs with shrimp and pork rolled up with a sauce that can be a special recipe or just a generic condiment. To me, if a restaurant serves amazing spring rolls, it means they truly understand the tastiness of their food.I’m not confused about the passion or hard work that the chefs or founders of this place has for food, rather I’m a little conflicted on their after thoughts? The pho and raw laab were amazing in flavor but not too far off on the opposite end of a spectrum. Pho was wayyy too sweet, I can’t even add hoisin sauce whether if I wanted to or not. To me the perfect pho broth can be consumed on its own just the way it was made, or it can be enjoyed with a little bit of hoisin sauce. Hoisin sauce and sriracha is what makes a good authentic pho meal, but only if those condiements can be a complement on the side. This broth was. just way too overpowering because of the sweetness. The raw laab’s flavor was absolutely divine and one of the best in the twin cities. Its ratio of lean meat to herbs and tripe is perfect. The only issue is the quality and texture of the meat being raw. It looks like and tasted like medium well? I have a feeling if I order the cooked laab it would hands down be my favorite in town, but the raw laab just doesn’t meet the standards to be called raw laab.In summary, it was my first time ordering some of my favorite southeast Asian form Kong’s Kitchen and it didn’t quite meet my expectations. However, my experience hasn’t deterred me to try them again.

Most food was cold dry and nasty except the oyster wings. I spent over $100 for me and my family and it was terrible. The fried rice was dry, cold and hard. The veggies was cold. The egg foo young was half cook. I put my fork in it and it was like flour water mixed, not gravy. The pattie had no flavor and tasted like wet bread. The sweet and sour chicken-- gross. I call and spoke with the young lady who answered and she said it's probably because when the gravy pours on the pattie it gets wet. But the gravy was flour water soaking up a half cook pattie. She stated I can come back up there and they will cook another one, knowingly there's a snow storm and I wasn't trying to drive back out there. I call back and ask to speak with a manager she said she was the manager. I asked for a credit being that the snow fall was worsening. She tell me hold on. I did but thinking why?, you are the manager you can let me know. She then say she will refund me for the egg foo young only this time because this not what they do. I don't see a refund yet however this was last night. I think I should get 50% refund because all our entrees was cold dry and untasteful. I woll not recommend this place to anyone.

Don't sleep on this place! Just made it over there and am so glad I did. After speaking w staff a bit I found out they make their own thick rice noodle, like Udon, but way softer in a good way. I ordered Khao Pork w Chicken. What amazing depth of flavor in the opaque broth. Such a full, rich, garlic umami broth was perfect with chili crisp, perfect for the cold day. The noodles were so soft for a rather thick noodle, and the pork belly app was also delicious. I will definitely be back!
