It was mostly a nice experience. We seemed to have been the somewhat forgotten table. Forgot to bring the soup. Never asked if we wanted any salt or pepper or Parmesan cheese. never got my drink refilled.. the food was fair. I expected Italian food at an Italian restaurant to be a little more authentic. The soup was delicious! The caprese salad was ok and my fettuccini Alfredo lacked flavor. I really liked the atmosphere. I will go back and give it another try as it wasn’t...
La Grolla has been a family favorite for years. Even with changes over the years it remains one of our Go-To dining options. Service is great, food never disappoints (Spaghetti Puttanesca is my favorite), a variety of seating options, reasonably priced menu, validated off-street parking. It's a no-fail choice for St Paul dining.
