I came into your store on June 6th around 7 pm. A male Hispanic employee with long hair rang me up. I had a valid coupon, but your system didn’t apply it. I pointed it out right away. When I got my receipt and saw I was charged full price, I showed him again. I even pulled up my bank transaction to prove it. All he kept doing was telling me to check my phone, over and over, like I hadn’t already shown him. He didn’t care about fixing the issue at all. It honestly felt like he wanted to brush me off and didn’t take me seriously. I couldn’t help but notice how friendly and helpful he was to the white customers, while I got treated like I was a problem. I’m Black, and it was hard not to feel like that was part of why I was being treated this way.
In the end, it took three employees just standing around trying to figure out how to refund me. Nobody had a clue. After wasting my time, they finally had to call a GM just to process a basic refund. How does a store with five to seven employees not know how to handle a simple refund? That’s ridiculous. I’ve been coming to this location since I was a teenager. After this, I’ll be telling everyone I know in Highland Park about this experience and this employee who clearly didn’t know what he was doing and treated me with zero respect.

I’ve been to Leen Chin a few times now, and every time I go, I leave happy. The food is always fresh and full of flavor—my go-to is the sesame chicken, but honestly, everything I’ve tried has been really good. The portions are generous, and it always tastes like it was made with care.
What really makes this place stand out, though, is the customer service. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. They always greet you with a smile and make you feel like a valued customer, whether you're dining in or just grabbing takeout. It’s clear they actually care about their customers and want you to have a good experience.
If you’re looking for tasty food and great service, Leen Chin is definitely worth checking out.

Visited here on 2/27/25 sound 1ish pm. I ordered the imperial plate and received good rice which was scraped from the bottom of the dish as of it had been sitting under the heat lamp for an hour untouched after the lunch rush, mixed vegetables which were mainly carrots but they tasted too fine as well so not done enough at the same time, with the green beans which you could tell by the taste that they had been sitting out. After a couple bites of rice I decided to ask for different rice because they had bought it a fresh batch. The guy was nice about it and so was I but it’s just like really. I have noticed that the food is getting worse with snake potting and prices are soaring. I literally remember the days when Leeann chin would pack your plate full for whatever you ordered and Cody you sing 12 total including a drink. It’s too bad. Oyster wings just looked dry and they were all drummies and I’m a flats girlie. The girl that rung me up was unhappy with her job she grabbed the plate topped it said “anything else?” I replied no. She gave me the total I gave her the cash she gave me my change. It’s like if you don’t like people don’t work with them. I will not be back or recommend.

Wow! I have been to many other locations of Leeann Chin's, this one stands head and shoulders above the rest. It is 100% due to the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff. We were greeted warmly and promptly as soon as we entered and the staff was there to answer any of our questions. This location should be modeled for all others!

Something changed and not for the better! The Cream Cheese Wontons were all Wonton with about one or two pea size amount of cream cheese. They were more like wonton chips.
What shocked me even more was the fried rice... Did they change the recipe?! The fried rice I received in the bowl of beef and broccoli was dark and saturated in some kind of sauce and had mushrooms and bean sprouts in it. ????

Bad vibe every time I eat here. Bad service, workers do not speak English, or at least they pretend not to.... I see many other complaints about the "rude girl" who works here...why isn't anything being done about it?

They seem to have a problem with meals ordered through Doordash. Multiple times now they don't look at the order and package only 1 meal when it says 2 on the receipt.

The atmosphere is very warm, the food is good. Today's terrible service left us waiting for several minutes while he spoke to another person. He didn't help me and I had to leave. I was there between 1:30 pm to 2:00 pm
