Date night. First time at Local Rumor and it will not be the last. Neighborhood gem for sure. Cool vibe, fantastic service. We had the pear salad, butternut squash, Cuban, and the smash burger. The food came out quickly and it was seriously delicious. Thank y’all!

A great addition to the neighborhood! We have been many times now and have had a great experience each time. We've had both date nights and dinners with kids (there's a kids menu with chicken strips!). Food and cocktails are delicious, staff are kind and the vibe is cozy and chic.

We had an overall nice meal here. The po’ boy was very tasty. The cauliflower appetizer was pretty good, and the Thai curry was as well. The atmosphere is wonderful and relaxing. The waitresses were all very nice, and did the best they could, but they were short staffed, so service fell short. We had to ask for drink refills and anything we needed because no one was available to come check on us during our meal. We Sat around waiting for a long time for our check.

Was a bit expensive for me it was kinda sad the burger didn't come with fries either 40$ for two beers and a burger was just too steep I felt like since burger didn't come with any side at all the bartender mads was still nice tho

Local Rumor is a great little oasis in the Union Park neighborhood of St. Paul. Very intimate restaurant and bar. The perfect neighborhood place to get away, have some wonderful food in a quiet environment or perhaps sit in their cozy cocktail lounge and have one of their specialty drinks.

If you haven't been here it's worth a visit. The location itself is on the smaller side and best to keep your group size under 4-people if possible. Staff is upbeat, fun, and personable. My friend and I shared 4 dishes all were wonderful. We ordered the smash burger, handheld fries, chicken sandwich, and queso....and of course Margaritas :D
Decor is fun. Parking was easy to come by on the street and free.

We drove to Minneapolis from Chicago, and happened to be near the St. Paul area around lunch and literally found this place after a Google review. The rating is correct! Excellent food, service, and just a very clean and relaxed atmosphere! Alexander was so friendly, and he really took care of us .. we had the fried chicken sandwich, fish tacos, and the burgers and recommend all 3 (especially the burgers!). Parking in a lot instead of the street was another huge plus.

Had such an amazing first experience. Staff was friendly and attentive, and I am obsessed with how the inside looks. Its so unique and beautiful. My only feedback is I wish the burger actually came with a side given the price 💗

every. single. time. we’ve gone here, at least an hour before their posted close time (today on a Saturday even) and THE KITCHEN IS ALWAYS CLOSED.
like, i want to give you my money. why are you open but never open??!?! i really want to like this spot but this makes it hard to like it.
