Made brunch reservations for party of 17 for Church Men's Ministry, but the staff was unprepared understaffed and rude. After 45 minute wait for cold food, two of our party did not receive orders at all. And those that made a requests for an extra pancake were told by server they were doing too much. Will never recommend or return.

Food portion was great. But hashbrown didn't taste that good. And I've never had steak that tasted like chicken before...

Stopped here for breakfast and was very impressed. The plates are huge, great prices and excellent service. The carnitas was flavorful. The Santa Fe Amex burrito was massive and delicious!

Ordered traditional eggs benedict, and was so hungry that I ate it-despite misgivings about the Hollandaise Sauce (sour tasting and most likely poured from a bottle then nuked with the rest). Here the dish is accompanied by a big slab of hash browns - that at first beckon with a golden crust -but turn disappointing on first bite as grease soaked and without discernible flavor.
Asked for espresso shots to be added to my coffee but it's not an option here...because there is no espresso machine. No choice then but to be disappointed by a thin and watery coffee-the only coffee served here-and that no amount of whole milk could rescue.
My first time here and sort of puzzled because Louisiana Cafe was so highly recommended. So I dunno, maybe once upon a time it was great - and then the pandemic hit. Whatever case may be, it seems like they really don't care anymore.

One of my favorite breakfast/brunch places in St. Paul! The Carnitas Benedict is my go to. Their waffles and pancakes are amazing too if you're looking for something sweeter. Always my go to recommendation for people looking for a great meal with sizable portions! Everyone I have suggested come here or brought here myself have absolutely loved their food!

WOW Such a great find. We were on a girls' trip and we were looking for some place that was not a chain and we found this gem. You get that neighborhood vibe with tree-lined streets with shops lining the block with apartments upstairs. People are walking their dogs and stopping at the coffee shop.
Enough about that, the food is amazing so much so we came back a second morning. The French toast is heavenly, fluffy, and just a hint of cinnamon to make it perfect. Make sure to ask for the pure maple syrup. 🍁 I tried the sausage links they had an amazing taste not overly spicy which is perfect.
The service was great! Very attentive to your needs. I am a tea-aholic and my glass was kept full.
I suggest you try the Louisiana Cafe if you are looking for a local place.
They even have a patio for those who love to sit outside.
They have their own parking lot... don't let the signs fool you, they almost did us.

When I lived in the Twin Cities many years ago, The Louisiana Cafe was my go to breakfast spot. On a return visit to the Twin Cities, I decided to revisit some of my old haunts and I am happy to report that the Louisiana Cafe is exactly as I remember: the Tex Mex is still delicious and too large for one human to safely eat by themselves; the caramel rolls still melt in your mouth and create pure joy; and the cafe is still a great place to chat with old friends while drinking a never ending cup of coffee.

We went to the Louisiana Cafe for Father's Day. We always come here for family gatherings, holidays, birthdays, etc. It's everyone's favorite. Their hash browns are perfect, crispy on top and soft and well cooked on the bottom. Their Cajun breakfast and Cajun Benedict are also favorites, with the andoiulle sausage. The seasoning is great, the mushrooms onions and peppers are cooked perfectly every time. My daughter loves their chocolate chip cookie dough pancakes, how could you not? And their portion sizes are massive. We always have leftovers to bring home. And prices are very reasonable. It's great all around!

We love the biscuits and gravy, and the eggs Benedict. Absolutely perfect every time. The staff is great.
Jenifer was so rude and inattentive. Part of our table arrived before my children and I got there. I was greeted by her long after sitting by her hurrying over to snatch the high chair I just got and putting it away saying “you can’t have high chairs here.” Ok fair enough. She didn’t offer to move us to a new table so my baby could sit and eat. I had to get up and ask to move she said ok, didn’t help us move our drinks and silverware to a new table. We moved to a booth out of the way in the back of the restaurant and she let me know that was still a problem to use a high chair despite having no problem with another family having their child in a high chair at the end of their table in the area where we moved from. Ok….had to get up multiple times to ask for straws, syrup, plates. Definitely did not feel welcomed there. Food was decent. Boxed up most of my meal. Went here with my disabled son’s PCA for the purpose of him getting practice dining out and it’s funny because I wanted to tip well to ensure we get taken care of when we came back. Was hoping to make it our regular spot to practice since it’s right up the block but definitely not eager to go back. First time in my life not tipping.
I loved ❤️ my first visit to this place. Honestly I googled Black owned restaurants near me because I am Pro Black and I'd like to support my community and I'm noticing that when you get to a place it's not Black owned so the listing is misleading but I don't mind supporting diverse groups. What I did like about this place is that it's big and has plenty of seating, it was clean! the coffee is rich and smooth the food was great very big portions 😍! But....can get pricey for one person. My bill came up to $38.07 plus the tip $5.07
