Celebrating my wife’s birthday at Mancini's Char House turned out to be one of those rare dining experiences that feels as much like stepping into a story as it does sitting down for a meal. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere wrapped around us—dim lighting, classic supper-club charm, and walls lined with photos of celebrities and longtime patrons that instantly tell you you’re somewhere with real history.

We started with wine and warm bread, which was simple but perfect—fresh, soft, and exactly what you want to nibble on while settling in. For the main course, I had the New York strip, cooked beautifully with that perfect steakhouse sear and a tender, juicy center. It came with a classic baked potato and salad—traditional sides done right, proving that when the basics are executed well, they shine.

I even had a grasshopper during dinner, and it was fantastic—creamy, minty, and indulgent in the best nostalgic way. It paired surprisingly well with the celebratory mood of the evening. After our meal, we listened to the house band and even met Mr. Mancini himself, which really sealed the experience. That moment captured what makes this place special: it’s not just a restaurant, it’s a living piece of local culture.

The vibe is unmistakably authentic—nothing feels staged or trendy, just genuine tradition carried forward. Between the music, the decor, the food, and the warm hospitality, it feels less like a night out and more like being welcomed into a legacy.

Final verdict: If you want a steakhouse with soul, character, and a rich sense of history you can feel the moment you walk in, this place absolutely delivers.

Excellent service in this upscale bar and steak house. The bar has table service for dinner and live music most weekends during the winter in a warm welcoming environment complete with round booths and lots of brass rails in the bar.

I've been to Mancini's over 60 times over the years. Incredible family, classic classy Supper Club, great staff, great owners, Incredible menu, huge fun bar area, live music and plenty of seating. Easy to park. I'm addicted to their garlic bread! Host Bill is the kindest, classiest, most helpful person ever, too! Make a full night out of coming here as it's an experience you'll fully enjoy! Fun events too!

This place is a vibe. It feels like something out of an old vegas movie or something. Tried the relish platter, garlic toast, pickled herring for starters all pretty good. Had the New York med rare with mushrooms. Very very good. Great char flavor, great cut. Would recommend.

awesome, 10s all around. Delicious dry-aged steak cooked to perfection on an open flame. This is the way steak is meant to be served.

This place, for me, is right over the plate. Exceptional food and staff presented in vintage nightclub style. The pictorial history on the walls is fascinating.

We've always loved coming here. Tonight on valentines day, our cocktail server (alex/alec) went above and beyond and truly made our night. Thank you for having the best service!

If you're looking for a traditional steak house this place is perfect. My steak was cooked to perfection, and the complimentary grilled bread and pickled veggies are delicious. I was there for birthday celebration and our server made sure we got cake and ice cream and offered to take a group photo for us. It was a great night.

This is not meant to be a modern, hip steak house. If you're chasing that, you may be disappointed. This is a step back in time.

I loved the decor, the live band, the pull tabs and the service. The menu is a little limited, but they get the important stuff right. Great spot for a date night or a small group of friends

Drinks lean towards strong over balanced so be careful and enjoy.

Highly recommend.

My friends bought me here for my birthday!! It was my first time dining in this establishment. The place was nostalgic, comfy and exquisite. I order a sirloin medium well and it was cooked perfectly. The server was new but he did very well (I have over 40 years in the restaurant business). We had a booth, it wasn't that comfortable but we made it do. Plus we had a nice experience and would return. They also gave me a birthday cake and my friend a belated birthday cake. It was a nice size, not a small slice.
