UPDATED to say that this place is such a hidden gem and I need more people to know about it. This recent time, I had the Yangon beef curry and it was perfection. The stuffed tofu was great and the tea leaf salad was just as delightful as it was the previous time. I really like that they can omit the fish sauce in the tea leaf salad and stuffed tofu. Consistency matters and this place has it.

Really enjoyed the tea leaf salad. Highly recommend! I wanted to try the boat noodles but they said they were out of it. We were there an hour after they opened on a Saturday and there were only 3 other parties there. I guess they don't have it consistently. The yellow curry was pretty good. I also enjoyed the pad thai. I like that they can make some things vegetarian/vegan. I'd come back.

This place is uniquely delicious. The food is flavorful and fantastic. The staff was really nice and attentive. I can see myself becoming a regular here. High quality all around. There’s no place in the Twin Cities quite like Mandalay Kitchen. You gotta try this place.

Very pleasant experience and the servers were very nice and helpful. Food was full of flavor. I had the Zaap Crispy and it was wonderful. I asked for the highest spicy level and it was definitely spicy. 😊 I also had the Knyaw Iced Salad which is somewhat similar to Indonesian Es Campur. It was great too.

Got the tea leaf salad. It was good, but didn't realize it had cilantro in it. So switched with a friend who had the Shan Noodle Salad and that was great.

Their stuffed fried tofu was wonderful. Pad Thai was meh because although it had great flavor and portions, it didn’t have much meat or veggies in it. I wouldn’t recommend ordering their beef curry because it is much cheaper, tastier, and larger in quantity to just use the right pre-made curry packet and make it at home.

Great restaurant! Highly recommend the lahpet thoke (fermented tea leaf salad), which is a balanced blend of herby, sour, umami, and sweet flavors. My partner and I were seated immediately, service was fast, and our waitress was kind. Great selection of vegetarian friendly options if you have dietary restrictions or preference. Will definitely be back!

I’m a Burmese and I can vouch that the Burmese food here tastes like home. We ordered fried tofu, Mohinga, tea leaf salad, beef curry, pumpkin curry, and the shaved ice dessert.

All of them taste amazing. The pumpkin curry taste more like Thai palette but the rest of them taste just like the authentic Burmese food.

The servers are Burmese too and they were patient and friendly.

I would recommend this restaurant! And would definitely come back again.

Amazing food! The pumpkin curry was flavored perfectly and had the perfect amount of spice! The samosas were also good. Everything tasted homemade and you could taste the love put into the food!

Hands down our best meal of the trip.
The curries are so homey, like a warm blanket. The tea leaf salad is vibrant and refreshing. The Yun Nam Khao Tod is super fun and indulgent.
Overall, this place deserves more than 5 stars!
