I love Maplewood bakery, it’s very nostalgic when you walk in the doors. The Only bakery I’ll eat from at this point. This old world bakery is not like what you are most likely used to, bc this is quality. The donuts have a density to them, none of that light airy crap.

Don’t listen to that bad reviews, I’ve literally been coming here for over 30 years. My mom has been going to Maplewood bakery since the 70s. This was a place my grandparents loved as well.
There is nothing better than a made from scratch pastry/donut from a recipe from our prior generations.
The owner Mike is a very hard working man that has kept this place running with quality products for over 20 years. I pray this place will always have an owner like him running it to keep the customers getting highly quality delicious baked goods.
Please support this small business that’s been in this spot for decades so they can keep it going.

I heard this bakery is wonderful. Went there months ago,just had a few packages of rolls and no one even came out to the counter. Today I tried again and it was closed 2:00. So are they really opened? And have Great bakery goods.

Best donuts in St. Paul!!!! $18 for a dozen locally made, delicious donuts. That's tough to beat. The filled donuts are my favorite (lemon, jelly, vanilla - can't go wrong). Fresh bread is less than $5 and angel food cake was about $7.
