I visited on Saturday for a solo date. The café wasn’t as crowded as I had expected, and parking around the neighborhood was easy to find. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. The pastries were beautifully displayed, making it hard to choose! I ultimately went for the butter croissant. It was largest croissant I have seen and was good too.

Also, some items can run out quickly, so I’d recommend coming early if you want a wider selection.

The Pistachio croissant was pretty good but not rave-worthy. The Kouign Amann pastry was terrible, it was really dry and tasteless. It seemed as if they gave us days old pastry. We were there at opening at 9am...so not sure why it didn't taste fresh? The best thing there was the latte! Coffee is terrible everywhere in the Twin Cities, but this spot actually makes excellent coffee.

One of the best patisseries I have ever been to - you must stop here if you are in the Minneapolis area. They run out of stuff so please go earlier in the day.

This place is exquisite. Every pastry is on point but the raspberry passionfruit tart is a must try. Drinks and sandwiches (when they have them) are also splendid.

I really want to like this place but it is too inconsistent. When fresh, they can be good but been too many times now that the pastries taste like day old. Arrived at opening this morning thinking that would help but both the pain au raisin and pain au chocolat were heavy and felt/tasted like day old pastries.

Beautiful works of art. Almost a shame to eat them
Today is my birthday and I went out of my way to get one of his treats.

Had been wanting to come here for a while. Placed an order online, received a confirmation with a summery of what I ordered and drove 30 minutes to pick it up. It said it would be ready in 30-40 minutes. Once we got there they informed us half of what we ordered was sold out, no notification prior to picking up. After expressing disappointment they decided to let us have one of the “sold out” items that they were “saving”. You weren’t saving that for a confirmed order you took?
To top it off the pastries we got tasted old.

Marc Heu Pâtisserie Paris on Selby Ave is a gem in Saint Paul—an upscale yet welcoming bakery that feels like a slice of Paris. The atmosphere is calming, with soft jazz in the background and elegant touches throughout. We arrived at 1:15 pm and nearly everything was sold out, which shows how loved this place is. Only a handful of butter croissants and one chocolate croissant remained. We grabbed the last chocolate croissant ($5.50), a Passionfruit & Raspberry Tart ($12), and a 12 oz lavender & honey latte ($5). Each item was outstanding: the croissant had perfect flaky layers, the tart was stunning and full of vibrant flavor, and the latte was smooth with a lovely floral sweetness. The kind staff packaged our order beautifully in a cake box tied with a silky black ribbon, which made the experience feel extra special. Everything exceeded expectations. Next time, we’ll arrive much earlier in the day to enjoy more of their pastry offerings. A must-visit for lovers of French baking.

I think this place is overhyped. The croissant was tough, not flaky, and tasted like it had been sitting out too long. Other Hmong and Mexican bakeries in the cities have much better pastry options and no line! (Trung Nam, for example) The kouign-amann with caramel cream topping was better and the coffee was above average

Honestly, the vibe here feels more geared toward influencers than people who just want good pastries. The constant food photography around me was annoying.

On top of that, the staff were incredibly slow. It almost felt like a strategy to make the line seem longer and more “exclusive.” For the wait and the price, I expected much more.

The pastries are beautiful and pretty good, but I think I'll just be going to the place across town instead. They were a little drier than the last time I went. Definitely worth checking out, but it doesn't feel like it was worth the wait in line, unfortunately

Beautiful experience. The food just isn't for me, but I definitely think everyone should go for themselves and give it a try.

The best crescent in the Twin Cities just with a bit of $$ .

The pastries tasted like they were a day or two old, very hard. The flavor was OK but I doubt if I will be back at those prices. I’ll go to patisserie 46 instead.

Beautiful but lacks texture. I got it this cake for a birthday. The top has a weird white chocolate white cream thing. The middle had a bit of cake with strawberries and cream. It was okay but lacked flavor. This cake is perfect for people that don't like cake but love cream and don't want it too sweet.

Found the croissant to be a bit more bread-like. The lamination was not visible throughout. It would be helpful to have the items labeled so patrons know what each is instead of having to ask. The only pastry menu is on the entrance. Making this change would allow for a more efficient experience
