This place has AMAZING BANDS! Like literally some of the best musicians and singers. Real talent every time. I think $20 is a decent price for the high quality . I love it here. My waitress rocked the crowd ! She had a great attitude and so attentive. She really made the experience great. If I had to critique something it would be the music they play between breaks. It was hard to go from upbeat to a break for 40 mins with just jazz music. Also, my catfish was very fishy and not really battered at all. Catfish is something you can't make unless you really know what your doing . Mine had tons of skin. But I didn't come for the food! Came for the best music!

I was there last night on the 7th for the Johnny Brown event, paid my $20 cover charge, he didn't show up for personal reasons and the organizers didn't even offer a refund! We stayed and sat through a 2 hour disaster, my opinion of the band singing some hits. The 3 band group were using their cell phones to look at the lyrics, too many times not even on beat or saying the correct words! I was highly disappointed. It was a rendition of some high school kids starting their first band. We ordered the chicken wing basket with fries, the chicken was fair, the fries were cold!! I told the waitress about them, she asked me, "do you want me to take them back so they could reheat them!!" I said, no, how about some fresh hot ones!! Who wants reheated fries from the bar!! I was with my daughter and we had a good time anyway, however, how do you water down cranberry and pineapple juice?? I guess you get what you pay for, $20 for live music, because even that was too much for that band! My review of the Minnesota Music Cafe would be a 3! I've been here before for other shows, but tonight, they should have given all of us our cover charge back as the artist that we paid to see did NOT show up!

They have a great stage for music. Seating was excellent as well, and there's a generous dance floor in front of the stage.
Nice that it exists. Disappointing it doesn't have competition. Exceedingly complacent. Below average food, underwhelming drinks, atmosphere that stale and more thinks others could point out. The music is fun. The musicians are entertaining. Changing the pace is needed to kick it in to gear.

My wife and I and some friends,tried this place for our first time. The guy behind the counter taking cover charge was very rude to us. The old lady who was behind the bar, which we were told is the owner was terribly disrespectful and crabby in the way she treated us when ordering drinks.We ordered deep fried food and some of it was not cooked all the way. There was also a mouse in the women's bathroom.This place is disgusting with junk for sale inside,making it feel like a thrift store. Pictures all over the bar with no room to set your drinks down on. Plus it smells so musty and moldy! We will never go back there again. Mn Musty Cafe.
