I had my very First date here and it was amazing. The atmosphere was lovely. The person or chef that cooked. Our food was a nice lady. She came and asked us. Did we enjoy the food? It was absolutely delicious. I ordered the oxtails and so did my partner. It came with rice and beans and cabbage. It was worth every penny we will be returning. I suggest you go.

Three for three. I don't leave reviews often, but after visiting a third time with my daughter (been with my son twice), I need to support this small family-owned business because their food is outstanding. Each time I have visited, I've been more than pleased. It's difficult to find good Jamaican food (prep, portions, and fairly priced) here. The staff is always pleasant and will get to you no matter how busy they are (lots of pick-up orders come in). The dining area is always clean, but my guess is their business is far more pick-up than dine-in. The Oxtail and Curried Goat are my favorite, but that does not mean the Jerk Chicken isn't fantastic. The rice, cabbage, and plantain are delicious too. Oh, and the wings...
My only suggestion is for them to offer spoons because they are generous with the gravy, so bring your own.
Love this place and will continue to drive across town for it and take anyone looking for the real deal with me.

Restaurantji Recommends
I had the utmost pleasure of ordering and eating a fried fish dinner from this amazing place. From the greeting when I entered the establishment, to confirming my order and ultimately getting to devour the delicious meal when I got back to the hotel. I will not hesitate to recommend Nanny's to anyone who wants to experience true Jamaican cuisine.

Great restaurant. I had high hopes.
Sadly not even the jerk chicken had spice.
All the meat was overcooked, the rice and peas were dry.
There is no salt or spice to any of the dishes.
The patties didn't really have flavor and we're kind of dried out.
The beef patties were thick.
The sauce was consistent and the food looked fresh and good.
Sadly I would not add potatoes to the brown stew or ital stew and the only way I could eat this is if I doctored up the flavor myself. The ital stew is like thick coconut milk from a can.
I ordered online so I paid a lot more than the restaurant price and sadly and unfortunately I was disappointed with everything I tried except I got a good ting. I wanted so much to find good foods I don't have to cook myself.
I hope this review doesn't deter anyone from trying it but rather the Cooks take some feedback and add some salt and spice. The city needs restaurants with spice so don't be afraid.

My finance and I ordered 2 oxtail meals and we were beyond impressed. The guy helping at the counter was so nice and even came to check on tables to see how we were all doing. The building is incredible inside and out. Absolutely love the artwork, food, and the service. 10/10!! Wish we lived in Minnesota because we’d come weekly!

Omg this best hand down they have everything for your taste pallets from curry to jerk and those beef patties are 10000% to die for. I love the service too when you call them they are so sweet and professional I will be ordering again and I like the 2 meat combo that hit the spot for me. I've been to Jamaica and their food taste just like the food over there.
