Nelson's is THE deli to go to in the Twin Cities, wait actually no, in ALL of Minnesota. The sandwiches and salads are like 2 meals in 1 and taste so fresh you won't need one of the vintage root beers or cream sodas. But you'll want one! Shout out to the owner, who has a big heart and is a big winner in our community, thanks for all the good eats and vibes!

My coworkers have raved about this place and I can see why! Told the worker it was my first time and he was so helpful and friendly. I got the California Club and it was delicious! It was a little busy at 1:15pm but they moved fast.
There are so many options on the menu for both salads and sandwiches and you can create your own if you don't like their options or want to try something different.
There is no dine-in seating, so it is take out or delivery service. I knew that so it did not catch me by surprise.
There's a small parking lot in the back. I was lucky and found a spot right away but could see that it would be difficult to find one when it's busiest at noon.

Everything you want in a great deli. Amazing sandwich and the service is some of the friendliest and best I've had in the twin cities.

Yum, fresh soft bread & crisp veggies. Local, and tastes way better than panera. Got the Manhattan. Will try the rest of their menu for lunch!

Hands down top 5 sandwich places in the Twin Cities! Love that they offer sprouts and their selection of sandwich fixings is incredible. Staff is super welcoming and friendly as well. They’re very quick to make your sandwich. Highly recommend!

The food was good. We got the Ruben and the Como and a chicken pasta side. The Ruben was a bit saurkrout heavy with very little dressing. The Como was fantastic, I would add sprouts next time. The pasta salad was also great. The reason for the 3 is because of service. We asked for no tomatoes on the Como and when he was giving it to us we double checked and there was tomatoes on it. He then asked rudely if it was an allergy and we said yes do he remade it. When we said thank you he just blew us off. The cashier was a little rude too to the person in front of us because they didn't order ahead and had a few sandwiches. I will go back because the food was really good but hope the service team was just having a bad day. It was the lunch rush and pretty warm outside.

Best sammi shop in the midwest, the food will be absolutely amazing 24/7 at a great price. The hours they are open will make you depressed. I have a decent relationship in this establishment. If they were open all day, they would sell out and not be able to open the next day. Keep it up. Love this place.

I had breakfast at Al’s breakfast and asked the lady where they get their bacon it is the best they said Nelson Cheese & Deli. So I went straight there and talked to the owner and he got me 2 pounds of bacon and told me his daughter owns Al’s. I went bake for lunch and the owner starts talking to me like we are old friends, I tried the Ruben. While it’s cooking he gets some cheese curds that are so fresh they aren’t on the shelf yet. I go to check out and he says I got this one you get the next one. I live in KC and he knew that, wow! I will be back when I’m in Minneapolis! The Ruben was Amazing.
