You can also order a day ahead by email or just walk in. Parking is in the back and fills up quick. Just wait a few minutes to park, if needed, as turnover is fast. They have sandwiches, soup, hot dogs and salads made to order. The Executive Plan C box lunch is a great value as it includes a sandwich, deli salad, fruit cup and a cookie. They have other box lunch combos too. The Dieter's Choice sandwich was very good. They had me at sprouts. The wild rice bread is very good. I tried the Mostacioli salad and the oatmeal raisin cookie. Everything was a solid choice. Deli salad options change daily. They also have a small case with desserts and some meats and cheese in another case. Beverages are available too. Great service too.

A friend order sandwiches for us from here and they were amazing. I got the Lexington and that sandwich was so juicy and good. Cooked very good just a little bit too much lettuce for me. This is a must place to try.

We have been coming to Nelson Cheese for 38 years!!! The food no matter what you order is always great but our favorite is the "Town of Nelson" adding pepper jack cheese. The service is always prompt and friendly!! If you frequently go there they learn your name. This cheese shop deli has lots of delicious choices from salads to soup to sandwiches to special bakery treats, and of course lots of choices of cheese!! We always come in to get our favorite sandwich every time we come into the Twin Cities!!!! The ambiance is nothing special unless you consider the neighborly friendliness the touch that makes you come back.

A few months ago, a coworker suggested that we come here on our lunch hour. I was instantly smitten with the food. I am from St. Cloud, and today my wife and I made a special trip for my birthday just to come here for lunch- it was just as delicious as the first time.Every bite is an explosion of flavor, such a range of tastes, from the rye bread on the packed sandwich, to the pasta and potato salads, the flavor and freshness speaks volumes to the quality and care of the food.They have an amazing selection of sweets, sodas, chips and baked goods to choose from, as well.The gentleman who made our sandwiches- (I can only assume he is the owner?) Was extremely kind and personable, relating stories as our lunch was prepared.This business has a lifelong customer in myself and my family. The trip is absolutely worth it, if your from out of the area. Please frequent this local business

This is an amazing place for food but working here was hell the staff is underpaid in my opinion and should have been making 16-18 an hour as apposed to 10 an hour for a damn dishwasher I didn't even make 300 as a full time dishwasher and I suffered severely also some of the staff are very rude and will not acamidate you whatsoever I am half deaf and when I told my coworkers and bosses it seemed as though they understood but when asked to speak up a little louder as politely as one can ask they would not speak up louder and would get annoyed I had not heard orders or understood something because no one would accommodate. Don't work here if you wanna save your sanity.

Nelson’s is without a doubt if not THE one of THE best sandwich and salad shops in the Twins cities! Their prices are so reasonable and the portions are amazing no matter what you get. It’s made fresh and fast right in front of your face. The staff is also amazing ! Love this place it’s a classic.

We ordered a variety of sandwich boxes for a business meeting and each box came with a little side (mine had pasta salad) and a cookie. Everything in the box was good. Parking a little sketchy but all in a a nice place to eat.
