If you're looking for a great ice cream shop with tons of flavors and ginormous portions, look no further! I only made the mistake once of getting a single. Kiddie size is more than enough ice cream, trust me. Their kiddie size is probably bigger than anything you could get elsewhere. They even let you choose 2 flavors. You can choose between cup or cone, but we always go cup just to avoid the dripping cone. There's a small seating area inside and a nice sized patio out front. It's a bit of a drive for us, but we get there at least once a year.

Fun place to go! They had so many different ice-cream flavors to try. I definitely will come back to try some more. I got the single scoop (thinking it would be the perfect size) and holy cow was it HUGE. Enough to share with another person! Which is nice for the value. It looked clean on the inside and the guy serving the ice-cream seemed nice. Will come back sometime in the future!

Who wants ice cream when it’s 40 degrees out? Basing this review on prior visits—they use Cedar Crest and give you a lot more than the container indicates. They even push the ice cream down and pack it in. Just remember that it’s cash only.

There is something about this cute shop surrounded by locals and in the summers with their families. Personally, I can’t eat a child size- my boyfriend and I split but it is a quintessential experience and they have 2 vegan flavors.
Dietary restrictions: The vegan options are scooped with separate scoops and stored away from the other ice creams to prevent cross contamination. I love how they cater to their dairy free clientele.

Walked in off the street in hopes of finding a dairy free option other than sorbet. The young adults behind the counter told me they had 2 options and I chose the cookies and "cream". Let me tell you I am not disappointed at all in the least bit! Also the young lady informed me of your sister store nellys where you have even more options for dairy free options. I will definitely be checking y'all out and returning to Nelson's as well. As someone who is only recently in the last 6 months become lactose intolerant I have had an irritating time looking for ice cream shop style ice that was dairy free outside of sorbet. So thank you for having the options available that you do and actually makes me feel like im eating real ice cream again.
