We were visiting from St Louis & stopped in one afternoon for a drink & guacamole. The guac is homemade; SO delicious & with homemade chips! We decided to return the next day for lunch. This time we had the tacos. Again, plentiful meat with the most delicious tasteful toppings. We were fortunate to have the same waiter, Tony. He’s definitely an asset to the restaurant. Very attentive & personable. Highly recommend this gem in St Paul!!
We ate lunch at the St Paul location after the farmer's market. We started with a 3 salsa and chip sampler. I love fresh chips, so it was a great start. My friend enjoyed her paloma and I was thrilled to find great N/A options and had a delicious grilled pinneaple cooler.
We ordered carnita tacos, the potato summer squash sope, and the chimichurri yuca.
We both loved the sopes and yuca. The carnita tacos were disappointing. They were bland and soggy. Not crisp at all. The moisture turned the nice blue corn tortilla into mush.
In the end we will definitely be back. I understand that their menu changes seasonally. I look forward to seeing what their next vision of a sope will be because it was absolutely delicious with it's many layers of flavor. The yuca was great. We only wished it would have come with a small side of the chimichurri sauce. But would still happily get again.
Vegetarian options: I am a flexitarian so I was very excited to find some very thoughtful vegetable forward dishes and not just sides.
Parking: One of the first things we joked about was that it would be a great place to come in the winter because you didn't have to worry about trying to find parking on the streets!

I had an incredible dining experience last night at Pajarito. The food was absolutely amazing, thanks to the talented head chef, Ross. Every dish was packed with flavor and truly exceeded my expectations. On top of that, the customer service was exceptional! The staff was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect. I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a great meal. Definitely worth checking out!

I've had phenomenal Mexican food in the cities and you know what those meals all had in common? They didn't charge 6 dollars for chips and 7 dollars for a SIDE OF RICE. I'm sorry to be like this, but the prices at this restaurant are what we call Sucker Prices, designed to part people who don't know any better from their money.
I know, I know, this is a ~high end~ restaurant but what's the value prop here? The portions were tiny, the restaurant was loud as hell, what exactly am I getting besides bragging rights for paying double what's normal for a small taco? This place is like 5 minutes from WA Frost if you want an actual high end experience.
Look, it's your money, if you wanna burn it paying seven bucks for a side of beans, go nuts. But you can get much more (and plenty tastier) for a lot less literally anywhere else.
Wheelchair accessibility: Very cramped space and I don't know if most modern wheelchairs would be able to maneuver through the front door situation so might have to stay out on the patio, weather permitting.

This restaurant was recommended by a local, so I was looking forward to dinner here. Happy hour snacks were extremely salty. The tortilla soup was a sauce-like consistency and flavours were unbalanced. The house made tortilla chips were cooked in oil that was rancid. No local micro brew beers on tap. Disappointing overall

An out-of-the-park experience, with well crafted drinks (the Pajarito magararita was deliciously complex) and fare filled with flavor and care (chips/salsa, tacos and tortilla soup were also home runs).

What an amazing experience!
The habanero cilantro margarita was spicy and delicious, and the chicken and black bean nachos were perfect.
We all ordered a main dish and shared...plus an extra.
We had the asparagus, the esquites, the quesabirria, and the huevos rancheros with carnitas. The food was spectacular!
The service was phenomenal. Thanks Whitney for making it an amazing evening!
I highly recommend trying out this fabulous Mexican restaurant.

Great food, every dish was delicious. Guacamole was zingy and the chips were substantial. Loved the birria taco, very rich but wonderfully indulgent. The quinoa salad was also great. If they threw in some arugula or other greens it would probably be my perfect salad. Really enjoyable. My only downside was the very loud music, which was a bit out of place.

Pajarito gets points for a beautiful interior atmosphere, tasteful ambiance, and friendly staff, but that’s about it. The food was okay. I felt like they were trying to “elevate” dishes that did not need it, and evidently missed the mark entirely. Portions were small, prices were steep and they were NOT equipped to handle a larger group. From the time the first meal of the group was out (party of 8), it was nearly 15 minutes to the last dish being sat down. Half of the group was practically done eating by the time the last couple of us got our food. Other table’s dishes were being served intermittently between ours (servers bringing out two dishes in hand- one for our table and one for another), which I also found strange. I’ve worked in the service industry for a long time, and this place just missed the mark. I personally won’t be back.

Yucca fries were ?, I ordered the beef short rib but id give that a 6/10 it was too saucy and a little burned on the end. My wife ordered some carnitas tacos and those were good but not great. Son got the birria tacos and those were good too. The drinks were really good. Overall food was a little on the spendy side.
