Cash only, strait forward small menu. The large pho I would consider a regular size, but the price is so low I can't complain. Good broth, the vegis on the side seemed very fresh, the service was fast and the staff polite. The noodles were a little thicker than other places but tasted better. Able to get a large house special pho and a soda for less than $15

This isn't a place that you'll have many options, nice esthetics or anything fancy but they have amazing Pho and Egg Rolls. What else do you need?

Fast service, your order will be delivered accurately, nicely, with a pleasant greeting and friendly smile but not much small talk - - English might not be their first language, I understand.

It's strictly Vietnamese Pho cuisine in a very traditional style, cash only. You can choose from a range of delicious broths in various sizes, all very delicious and filling. On the sides you can find traditional favorites like tri-color, vietnamese hot or cold coffee and spring rolls.

This joint is a bit small but can fill up quickly, some days could feel like a tight squeeze as you sit down. COVID protocols now relaxed but you can still wear a mask if you wish. Tables are always spick & span, interior is traditional, bright, clean, warm and comfortable, you'll feel like home again

Service is just horrible. We walked in and was never greeted. We popped out just a few more to see the host/waiter sitting at a table next to the register. He grabbed the menu and pointed at a corner. My first observation was that the host looked annoyed that we walked in, mind that this place was empty, and only one other family was dining in. He grabbed us our waters and just looked at us, no word was said. We ordered our pho's and that was it. I wanted to order some eggrolls, but at this point I just wanted to eat and get the hell out of there since we didn't seemed welcomed.
My son dranked all his water and audibley asked me if he could get more water. I know the waiter heard it since he was sitting one table away, but nope no water refills...really sad.

Place only serves Pho, eggrolls and tri-color. Pho is good, a little more on the sweeter side. Bathroom was dirty and the place seems very rundown and dirty. Place is cash only.

Bottom line, IMO, go somewhere else. Very bad service, one of the worst we've experienced. We won't ever back here.

There are really some stupid reviews posted here. It is a inexpensive Veitnames restaurant and some complain about 1.00. They do not always rerun all the menus. Trying to make a living. As good or better as in Vietnam.

I will not be returning, I recommend taking your money elsewhere. I highly recommend asking for a receipt!

As of 06/29/2024, their menu indicates a small traditional price of $9. I placed an order for 2 small traditional phos and to have my rare beef on the side because I enjoy it med-rare.

After the meal, I went to pay and the lady at the cashier told me my total was $28.46. I questioned her about the price, how is my total $28.46 when I only ordered 2 small traditional phos?
She responded "that's the price."
I then requested for a receipt to understand the breakdown and noticed she charged me $10 per bowl of pho (the menu shows $9), $3, 75 for egg rolls and $2 for extra beef on the side.
I told her that she mistakenly overcharged me for the incorrect price and for items I did not order.
After going back and forth with her, she dropped the egg rolls but refused to remove the extra beef order and refused to charge me the pho price as indicated in the menu.

Her response: "price going up, you pay"

They only have pho, egg rolls and some drinks and cash only. This is the best Pho place in Saint Paul IMO. I like to order the house special and tri-color with beans, sometime I order those with eggrolls. If the Pho don't need any condiments its good Pho, but I like to put some in because thats just me.Believe they do take out but have not try it as I have seen people ordering takeout.

Check Point

This will be the last time eating at pho cadao. I found a long grey hair in my pho. Although, they took the bowl of pho away and brought me a new one but it wasn’t the one I ordered because I had the house special pho.

Great meal and fast service. Menu is short and sweet. Got the house special and broth was delicious!

It's basically a "mom and pop" shop, so the atmosphere is as expected. Pho is always great whether eating there or take out. It's probably our favorite in the Twin Cities. Just remember they only take cash.
