We’ve been Friday night regulars at pizza Luce over the past 14 years - ordering a mix of items across their menu, including the pizzas and bowls. We’ve generally had great experiences. it’s been good food.
Last Friday, however, forever changes our Friday plans. We ordered the bowls, which have cashews. They’ve always had cashews and I’ve never had an issue.
But last Friday, they weren’t cashews. They were mixed with peanuts, which I’m allergic.
And it wasn’t just a cross contamination issue - which I can deal with Benadryl.
This was an epi pen situation, which was just shy of the ER. It want cross contamination. It was mixed allergens
We called the restaurant and it was a disappointing nonchalant “you just have to tell us”.
I’ll own the fact that I can communicate better about my allergy. But this is laziness.
I’ve eaten there for 14 years and haven’t had issues.
The menu is specific about ingredients. There isn’t any notification about possible cross-contaminations (or flat out mixing of ingredients).
I was so close to a 911 dial - I can’t eat there again. If you have allergens - be forewarned.

In my opinion pretty bad Italian food. We had pasta and pizza and felt terrible afterwards and the next day. The service and waiter were not good, even rude. In total, not a good experience. If I want pizza I’ll either go to Punch or Tonos. For pasta I’d say that even noodles&company is better.

Consistently good service and food. excellent hot wings, lasagna, sandwiches and of course any kind of pizza you can imagine. This is the 3rd or 4th location I've tried(Eagan and Minneapolis). I definitely recommend Pizza Luce anytime. Brunch and trivia, available on select days as well.

Food is great but the AC is not working, I can't even believe they can be open right now. It's about 10 degrees hotter by the front windows than it is towards the back and barely a difference between inside and outside. It has to be 80° in here. Would not recommend right now. We had to switch sections just to keep our two month old cooler and our girls were standing at the fan to keep from sweating. No exaggeration.
Pizza was bigger than Antarctica. Not really but almost. Service was 10/10.
