This place is an unknown gem that I hope becomes better known. Their food is on point. I love Carribean food for it's complex balance. You get rice with beans, cooked in coconut milk. You get j*** goat and their empanadas are terrific. My girlfriend, who's vegan, is always satisfied because many of their sides are vegan, and with their healthy portion sizes, she has more than enough to take home. We're hooked already and will keep coming back.
Lovely, food reminds me of my adopted home in the Eastern Caribbean...the curry goat was tender, well seasoned, and delicious, the rice and peas were country style and awesome. Also had a chicken patty it was spicy and delicious, should of got 2! The plantain were the sweetest I have ever had in Minnesota! The chef was friendly and welcoming! Will become a regular customer!
The j*** chicken is seasoned to perfection and the rice and peas and plantains are delicious and moist. The owner is very nice and welcoming and even came over to our table to make sure everything was perfect. We will moist definitely be back
Absolutely love their food and their service is amazing!
Redd Peppers provides all the classics of Jamaican cuisine. I ordered the j*** chicken plate. The j*** rub on the chicken was outstanding and brought equal amounts flavor and heat. The plate also came with rice, veggies and a dinner roll. The j*** chicken paired well with the sweet limeade drink (made fresh). Finally, I need to give consideration to the beef patty. The patties are made in house and they were delicious!!! I haven’t had a beef patty this good before. This restaurant is a solid choice for authentic Jamaican food! I hope to stop in again to try the Red Snapper.
I visited Red Peppers Jamaican Restaurant for the first time on 4/13/22. I can hardly wait to get back. The Oxtails, rice & peas and cabbage was PERFECTLY seasoned. The food melts in your mouth. Easily 5 stars. DELICIOUS! I'll be back next week. :)
First time Minnesota finally delivered real Jamaican food

I had the red snapper meal at Redd Pepper’s today! First time having red snapper fish in my life! EVERYTHING was DELICIOUS- the rice with beans & cabbage complimented the fish really nicely. Customer service: top notch- the owners are so friendly and accommodating. I definitely recommend this place!
DELICIOUS! Scrumptious! Delectable! Those are the words that come to mind as I write this review about my experience at Redd Peppers Jamaican restaurant where do I start the customer service is absolutely amazing they are informative knowledgeable and very welcoming. When you enter the restaurant it is a very clean open space and smells wonderful! (Side note the restrooms were super clean also) you can tell the owner takes pride in the appearance of their restaurant and the service they provide you. The owner was super nice and allowed us a few samples to try some things we had never ordered, Now onto the food I ordered the ox tails with a side of j*** chicken and am so glad I did! the curry chicken was so good falling off the bone! the curry goat was authentic and delicious as well. of course I had to get A beef patty which again exceeded my expectations and made me a happy foodie! The food overall was off the chain to say the least very flavorful aromatic and presentation was spectacular they definitely exceeded my expectations for Jamaican cuisine and satisfied my fiancé is craving for authentic j*** chicken which is hard to find in the Twin Cities Hands-down the best beef patty I have ever had. Red peppers Jamaican restaurant is definitely a cut above all the other Caribbean restaurants in Minnesota. I will definitely be back” once a week at least” make sure u go early because as good as this food is I see why they sell out of certain things on a daily basis.
Me and my husband (which is Jamaican) had landed in town for the first time. We are from Florida. My husband wanted some Jamaican food so we went to check this place out. We both got the beef stew chicken dinner and plantains. We both agreed the plantains is on point. I loved the rice and peas but husband said is was alright he guess. We both didn’t care about ginger being in the veggies. My husband said Jamaicans don’t put ginger in the veggies. We both tasted nothing but ginger in the veggie which made it hard to eat it all. The beef stew is more like how Haitians cook their chicken (fried). Jamaicans don’t fry their beef stew chicken and due to lack of gravy the chicken was dry. But this review is only base on beef stew meal. Other meals we not sure about yet.
I started eating some excuse me lol. This food is so good! I call it my fix lol the people are lovely. The service is literally in and out! Black owned go get you some!!!!
This restaurant never disappoints. I have now gone there three times, and each time have enjoyed a savory, sometimes spicy, always tasty entree. It's got a friendly neighborhood atmosphere as well.If you have not checked out their menu and their food, add it to your list.
