I have ate here probably three or four times, and never hesitate to make the drive over from Fridley. I recently was in, and they had an Oklahoma fried onion burger on the menu which isn’t an easy burger to find considering it can be pretty regional. The burger was fantastic, definitely a milestone meal to find in Minnesota
Fantastic staff, excellent service and top notch food. Absolutely do not hesitate to check it out

I always loved their food. Changed most of the menu. Most of the southern sides/old menu options like shrimp & grits are gone. Went very chicago style... Still has the chicken though👍. I am sure everything is good but this location menu needs to be updated appropriately to reflect the change. Once changed I will remove the 2 star post.
Edit: The actual posted menu is updated. Just ignore the old photos and comments.

This was once one of my favorite places to eat. I Went there recently and the entire menu has changed. No more Shrimp and Grits or any of the great sides they used to have. What I did have was disappointing. Seems as though Revival is trying to become another pizza joint ( like there aren't enough of them already).
Shout out to our waiter Noah, he was fantastic.

They served me alcohol when I ordered off the N/A menu. They did not seem to care when confronted or when I followed up via email. I actually went into the restaurant to see if I messed up. Nope, they have both a alcoholic and N/A version of the same drink with the same name except the alcoholic one has the word punch at the end of it. That's all the difference, they need to change the name of either drink if their bartenders can't hear given that it's a place that does the whole loud music loud voices vibe. Watch out when ordering anything N/A from here

We had been looking forward to eating at Revival for some time but sadly, we were disappointed. I ordered the Tennessee Hot Chicken Tender Sandwich and it was surprisingly mild. Just a slight touch of heat and not much flavor at all. The ingredients were top quality...moist chicken and crunchy breading, but it just completely underwhelmed. It didn't help that it was only warm.
I'd put the heat level at 1.5 out of 5. It needs to be at least doubled to be described as "Tennessee hot chicken". For a good example of a hot chicken sandwich locally check out Mallards.
I had a side of fries with it for a reasonable $2 up charge. They were cooked well but OMG they were WAY too salty.
My wife ordered the glute-friendly chicken tenders with a side of fries. The server told her the fries would just be a $2 adder as well but the receipt showed they charged us $5.
The deep fried cheese curds were not the "WOW" I was told about. Maybe I'm just not a fan of my curds drenched in honey.
The others in the group thought their means were just OK. Service was iffy. Water bottles were left unfilled and we had to ask twice for more. The server tried to take my basket away AS I WAS EATING FROM IT.
One good thing to say is that they seem to have gotten rid of that silly 6% service fee.

The menu has completely changed and they took away all the southern style… collard greens and grits, no longer our favorite go to. Glad they still have delish chicken tenders. Service is always great here!

Went on a Sunday evening after a show at the Penumbra so it was quiet. Nice place to share about the show over some nicely seasoned chicken and some drinks.

Great food as always! Ordered online and one of the items was missing. Called the store a half dozen times for a refund but could not get ahold of anyone. So while that was disappointing the quality of the food sure wasnt!
You guys deserve everything after paying for the homeless food❤️

not only is the new menu elevating the revival name far beyond what was already awesome food but when when you sit down at the bar and you get to see everyone who makes it happen right there on the floor, you know they're doing something right - knocking it out of the park as always!
Worth a visit. 10/10
Parking can be challenging here as its on street parking but we got lucky on Saturday. We'd been wanting to try this place as we are big fried chicken fans. The tenders I got were crunchy and delicious. We shared collared greens and the macaroni and cheese and hubs got the chicken dinner ( dark meat). The biscuit he got was homemade and fresh. We have no complaints about anything really. Like I said earlier, parking can be challenging but the service was awesome.

Revival on Selby is one our favorite places to eat, dining in or delivery; we tend to dine in on special occasions (most recently, our four year wedding anniversary) or when hosting others such as friends or our parents. I feel bad for not taking pictures this time, the only leftover I have is of the Crispy Brussel Sprouts (appetizer or salad, not 100% sure which category it falls into - given the edamame, dried cranberries, blue cheese chunks, sweet potato emulsion, and light oil/vinegar marinade/dressing, it COULD qualify as a salad... Burying the lede, here, because the point is that this was an AMAZING dish that shocked me in its execution, enough to order a second serving simply to take home... All I have left is a small amount in a small container, which I will take a photo of, though the photo does NOT do it justice).
Revival is a Soul Food restaurant specializing in chicken, and as a lacto-ovo vegetarian it would be fair to assume that it would not cater to my tastes, however that assumption would be dead wrong. The number of sides (for a small guy like me, two of these hearty sides makes a good size meal) is impressively large, and nearly all of the sides do not incorporate meat in any way. My favorite sides are the Bourbon Carrots, the Cheddar Drop Biscuits (the butter biscuits are also good, but it's well worth the three dollar higher charge for the Cheddar Drop ones), the Baked Mac & Cheese, and the Cheddar Grits (which I always eat the following day - just a personal quirk, but I adore the thicker, refrigerated grits first thing in the morning after they have sat overnight). All of their food that I have eaten has proven to be easily stored as leftovers for at least one day, and several of them for two to three days, also.
The star of the restaurant, its entrees and the draw that brings customers in, is definitely the chicken options; when ordering delivery my wife Elizabeth almost always orders the half-bird, spiced Tennessee Hot ("Poultrygeist" has a three dollar upcharge, is significantly more spicy, and in Liz's words "it is very good, just not an every time food" due to the extreme spice). On the date I am reviewing she ordered a Chicken Tender Sandwich, Tennessee Hot, which she adored.
For any vegetarians who wish an entree level meal, there is a Vegetarian (I *think* it is even Vegan, unsure) "Beet Reuben" consisting of marinated beet slices, sauerkraut, and... Whatever else comes on a Reuben,,, I have had it, it is very good but in my humble opinion my money is better spent simply ordering sides... I mean, we come-slash-order delivery regularly, and there are still sides I have never had, that is how impressive the menu is.
During the summer they have an amazing Watermelon Salad.
My wife had a glass of wine, house red, which was above average, and I had a very interesting hard cider - very dry with a tang I couldn't quite place, I wish I had gotten the name of it, but it was on tap and I forgot to ask our server. They also have a good selection of canned and bottled beers and drinks, one of which is a seasonal Sour, which I intend to order the next time we visit, as lately I have been enjoying Sours as much or more than Ciders.
Since we visited on a less traditionally busy day, service was excellent as the restaurant was not packed; we arrived before a (small) rush, even, so our service was yet again a cut above.
Since it was for our anniversary dinner we went all out, our tab was high but I had planned for this; I tipped 22%, as, the actuality is that our server was attentive, kind, and intuitive about our needs. I did not catch his name, but he did an excellent job. So hey, owner/manager/anyone in charge who might read these reviews, pass along my compliments (or a raise maybe lol). We felt well attended to but never pressured. He was tall, thin, blonde hair that roughly fell to his shoulders.
We will obviou
