Do yourself a favor, get the green curry. I have tried most of the menu everything is good but I always regret it if I don’t go with the green curry.

Really beautiful space and incredibly flavorful food. We got the spring rolls, pineapple fried rice, green curry, pad see ew, and duck curry. All were beautifully displayed and some of our favorite Thai food we’ve had in a long time!!! We can’t wait to come back!
We had a reservation for 1:30 on a weekday and got the last open table. Considering how busy it was we still had great service. It finally slowed down inside around 2:30, which was nice because it was pretty loud when the whole restaurant was full. Glad to see a great restaurant getting lots of love it deserves!

Stopped by for an early dinner with my husband and 6-year-old daughter. Cozy atmosphere and delicious food. My daughter loved her pho, but I won the ordering contest with the Khao Poon Nam Gai (a coconut curry soup with chicken and rice noodles). It was flavorful but not too heavy, thanks to the fresh cabbage on top. The whole family agreed —we have to come back and try more dishes!

I’m only giving 4 stars for the food because the lack of chicken in my Pad Thai. Basically paid $19 for a bunch of rice noodles and like 4 tiny pieces of meat. Kinda disappointing, but the food had great flavor and the perfect heat. Their 5 is the hottest and it wasn’t that hot to me. Order Thai hot if you want your face tore up. Haha

Wow what a great little gem of a Thai place in downtown St Paul. We love going there before Wild games and enjoying the vibrant food. The Curry Puffs are amazing and the green curry is amazing.

Delicious and knowledgeable. My teen and I both are celiac and have to eat gluten free. Our server was so patient and kind when explaining their protocols for cross contamination. They have a significant number of gf options. I had the green curry and it was so good, I can’t wait to go again. Celiac teen also enjoyed and we both felt fine afterwards. She also had mango sticky rice for the first time.

Very reasonable prices for some delicious Thai food. I didn't care for the cocktails, too bitter + strong for my liking, but the food and service more than make up for it. The duck and the tofu were cooked perfectly.

I’ve missed Ruam Mit Thai ever since they closed their last location, so I was thrilled to see them reopen! The new space is beautiful, and the food is just as amazing as I remembered so fresh, flavorful, authentic, and never disappointing. The service was excellent too. Our waiter took the time to chat with me about the new menu and even remembered an old favorite I used to order. My boyfriend is a tough critic, and even he was very impressed. It’s a bit on the spendy side, but absolutely worth it for the quality, flavor, and experience. I can’t wait to go back!

I visited this restaurant recently and had a very alarming experience regarding my severe shellfish allergy.
Before ordering, I clearly informed the staff that I am fatally allergic to shrimp and requested that no shrimp or shrimp products be included in my dish. I was assured that the dish would be prepared without shrimp and that any dried shrimp would be kept separate.
However, when the food arrived, it contained dried shrimp — and without realizing it, I took a few bites before noticing. When I raised the issue, the initial response from the staff was dismissive and lacked accountability. Only later did another staff member mention that even the sauce used in the dish contained shrimp sauce, which made the situation far more dangerous.
I began to feel itching and nausea, eventually vomited, and had to take Allegra and use my inhaler to control my reaction. This could easily have escalated into a medical emergency.
The manager later came over and apologized sincerely, waived the bill, and asked what they could do to make things better — which I appreciated. However, the carelessness of the kitchen and initial staff response was extremely concerning.
I am sharing this review not out of anger, but out of deep concern for food safety. Allergies are not minor preferences — they can be life-threatening. I truly hope the management takes this seriously, retrains staff on allergy protocols, and ensures no customer ever faces such a risk again.
Do not eat here if you value your safety. My friend has a severe seafood allergy and clearly told the servers multiple times that she cannot have shrimp or any seafood. They assured us the dish was safe — but it wasn’t. She was served shrimp and went into an allergic reaction right at the table. If she hadn’t had her inhaler, this could’ve ended tragically. This level of negligence is completely unacceptable. Diners with allergies, please stay away — your life is worth more than a meal here.
