Beautiful decor, service was spot on. Did not rush us, and server, Josh, told us his favorites. Noise level low, which we love. The shrimp/lobster pasta had jumbo shrimp and plenty of lobster. The squash soup was creamy and delicious. Sides of bread, brussel sprouts and Swedish meatballs were so good. We have already made a reservation for December! 👏🏻

I think a manager or two were within 5 feet of me for my entire meal, I sent my food back because it was super bland and had no flavor, but took over 8 minutes to check back in after my food was dropped, and there were only a couple other active tables in the entire restaurant. Got the dill salmon, do not recommend. which was unfortunate as I was super excited to try this spot For the first time. The NA wine options are great, and they have a good mocktail list for non-drinkers. Server was great, Cat I think was her name. But management was uncaring and never stopped by, but had no problem talking extremely loudly about the big party from 3M coming in and how much they were going to spend… it either means my server didn’t tell management my dish was poor, or management didn’t care. And that says a lot about a restaurant. I left without having dinner besides a salad that was about 5 bites and a dessert, and paid $45 for that…

This was our first visit at Russell's. I can promise it will not be our last. The food and drinks here were prepared with meticulous skill. The Classic Steak was amazing. Perfectly rare with a thin crust that is hard to describe. The walleye was tender and flaky with a sublime sauce that you must try. The service is exc and atmosphere here is warm and relaxing.

Russell’s exceeded expectations. The 1920s–1940s inspired atmosphere strikes the perfect balance of charm and authenticity, creating an inviting backdrop for our happy hour. Service at the bar from Dennis was attentive and well-paced, enhancing the overall experience. The food was excellent, particularly the dry rub chicken wings, which stood out not only for their flavor but also for the generous accompaniment of fresh vegetables, a thoughtful touch that set them apart.

Russell’s was amazing! We were seated quickly and our server, Catherine, was knowledgeable and we discussed the menu with excitement and mouth watering detail. The Walleye nachos were great! There were large chunks of perfectly beer battered fish strips. The chicken wings had a little kick of spice but were perfectly cooked, still tender inside but crispy on the outside! Best wings I’ve had. The dry rub had complex flavors that was enjoyed by all.
I had the beet arugula salad with goat cheese.. The flavor was rich and the dressing was perfectly balanced with the smooth creamy goat cheese.
Lastly, the bread pudding was crispy on the outside, smooth and dense within. The outside was slightly salted which paired perfectly with the rich custard flavor of the center and the sweet ice-cream on the side.
Members in my party also got the salmon, spring chicken and burger. All three of my kids cleaned their plates.. and raved with every bite about how amazing their dishes were. I’d highly recommend enjoying dinner here. The women’s bathroom was a beautiful pale pink with gold accents and immaculately clean!

We had a surprise birthday party in the private gathering room. Todd( owner) could not have been more attentive to our needs during the planning process! The room was decorated with fresh flowers on the tables. Todd and his staff were spectacular in their service. The food was excellent as usual. Julie the bartender was pleasant and engaging. It is unfathomable to me that in 2025, a restaurant can open up in a central location of a nice neighborhood and offer a salad and an omelette as their only vegetarian dishes. This place has so much potential and is honestly very charming, but sadly is very out of touch with its surroundings. I hope they improve their menu soon.
Kim the hostess was fabulous! She recommended this place to us so had to try it out for my partners Birthday- Dinner was fantastic. The Caesar salad was dressed to perfection. The wings were crunchy AND moist. The walleye and burger hit just right and the drinks were delightful. The decor is shiek with just a touch of kitsch. Thanks for a lovely evening. We’ll be back next for Happy Hour!

We had an amazing night out with friends at Russell‘s! Loved the walleye nachos- so interesting with the smoky tomato salsa and avocado mousse. There were six of us and each entrée was plated perfectly, super tasty and had great flavor. My favorite was the Skuna Bay Salmon, followed by the special, which was yummy sea bass.
