Juan is an attentive, enthusiastic and professional server. He listened to us and gave great recommendations.

I ordered takeout and prepaid online. Host had a bit of an attitude; he made me sign credit card receipt but it turns out he was only to try to get me to tip (on a takeout order), as he very openly threw the receipt away after I didn't tip. That just came across as tacky and petty.Cream cheese rangoon was tasty but pad thai was extremely dry and not the most flavorful.I get takeout here because it's on the walk from work back to my hotel. That would be my only reason to eat here again. If I was mobile or wasn't in the immediate area already, I'd definitely look for a better Thai restaurant.

I made a rather large delivery order as it should last for a few days. I ordered #20 Laab Esan with pork, #11 Cream Cheese Wonton, #5 Chicken Satay, #4 Sue Egg Rolls, #24 Red Curry w beef, and various sauces I'm saving the laab and curry for later. Everything was quite scrumptious. The satay was a little dry, but it's hard to expect different when it's delivery. It tasted great still with plenty of the peanut sauce -- I ordered extra. Only 2.5/5 on this. It's probably 5/5if you're dining in. The cream cheese wontons were stuffed really full with warm soft cream cheese, delightful with the sweet chili sauce. 5/5 The egg rolls were just HUGE - surprisingly excellent texture after delivery: still hot and crisp. I had to eat mine with knife and fork it was so large. Also used the sweet chili sauce. 4.5/5 on the egg roll. Price including delivery and tip was $60! This effectively 4 good-sized meals. I will be ordering from Sawatdee again! Sawatdee kha!

My favorite Thai restaurant! The Pad Thai is delicious and so are the egg rolls.

The food is amazing and the flavors of the sauces in all their dishes are spot on. The appetizer platter (2 wantons, 1 egg roll & 2 sarongs), 2 entrees, a dessert and 2 glasses of wine special for $48 per couple can't be beat. The service is always mediocre. Tonight the hostess called in sick so they had 1 bar tender & 2 servers. While it seemed slow, we weren't in any rush and we were in and out on Valentine's Day in 75 Minutes which I would say is very fast. Tonight the service was par for the course and has never been stellar but the food is great, prices are great and it is in a great location with easy parking. Our server was lovely, joked, apologized for delay in getting us our water/ordering and was very accommodating. Of all the Sawatdee restaurants this is the only one we eat at because of the friendly staff, quality of food, easy of parking and quiet space.

Enjoyed our VCalentine Dinner at Sawatdi. Food was delicious. Was understaffed for the volume of guests. The server was swamped but very pleasant to her customers. Dining room could use some enhancements if it is trying to compete on basis of ambiance.

Came here with my sister for lunch. Split pad thai with mock duck, it was delicious! Speedy and kind service. Not busy at all.

Very good food. I love the fried spring rolls. I love that they keep your previous order and you can just ask for the last thing you ordered when doing takeout. Very friendly staff and amazing drinks.

I have had food from the Minneapolis location and it was good. So I tried the Saint Paul location today. I DoorDash the food- so no comments on the ambiance. I ordered the seafood pho + chicken, chicken broccoli fried rice, and their Thai papaya salad. The pho was an interesting one. The broth was flavorful and had a good spice. I didn't have to add anything additional to the broth (only a little more fish sauce cause I love my fish sauce). Now, the noodles... umm, it is NOT my thing. The traditional noodles are usually thin and the noodles served was more of like noodles for stir fry... I should've realized it when I opened it up and only tried to eat a little of the noodles before pouring everything in. If it was the real pho noodle I'd give it a 3.5/5, but because the noodles ruining the good broth with its thickness and bland noodle taste, it took over the broth. I'll give it a 1/5 with the thick noodles. The fried rice was good- a little gooey for my liking. I'd rate it 1.5/5. The papaya salad was good. I'd say a 2/5. It has good taste. I usually only eat Lao papaya salad so it is a preference thing.

Awesome food, and a wonderful server. Great location in St Paul, with parking nearby. The restaurant is older and could use some work, but clean.

My party had the My Thai and Monkey Lover cocktails. Both were strong and sweet, the Monkey Lover was our preferred of the two, which had a milder and smoother taste. We had the fried vegetarian spring rolls for an appetizer. They came out hot and crispy with everything you’d expect in a fried spring roll. For entrees, we had the Thai fried rice with chicken and an add-on of basil, the vegetable red curry without bamboo shoots, and the Rad Naa with chicken. We asked for the first two dishes to be at a spice level three and the third dish to be at a spice level of four. The food wasn’t spicy at all but came out fairly quickly. The red curry was good. The fried rice was rather oily and a bit bland. The Rad Naa comes with American broccoli as opposed to Chinese broccoli. I had never seen Rad Naa server in a soup bowl before, but there was definitely a lot of sauce that was fairly salty and one-note. However, the noodles were cooked well and had a pleasant texture. We came on Christmas Eve and were fortunate to have excellent service.Vegetarian options: Most entrees can be made with vegetables or tofu as a vegetarian option.Parking: There is metered street parking outside of the restaurant. The parking meters are not monitored on Sundays.

I'm an delivery driver, I came to pick up an order on 12/16/23 in the mid afternoon, as driver the only time we can use the bathroom is when picking up at restaurants. I asked the white young curly hair clerk if I can use their restroom he said "it is only for paying customers"I said I'm a driver helping to deliver your food. He said "Sorry but that it is the policy dictated by the owner". It is a sad state of affairs when you can only use the restroom if certain conditions are met at this business. If I'm not worthly of using your bathroon then I won't be delivering for Sawatdee again.MJ.
