chicagoans- this place is the closest we get to billy goat tavern. they got the kaiser roll, with the thin patty and the cheese is super melty and its toasty all over so its got great texture and good crunch- just like back home. great people, clean place, fresh ingredients, nice take out boxes, the cooks cook like they like their job. plus they got italian beef, so they like us.
I work downtown, and I usually want a quick lunch or snack so I can get right back to work. This is where I want to go more often! I had the everything bagel breakfast sandwich. Came out quick, it was fresh, bagel was great. Even better was the medium roast coffee. I don’t creamer in my coffee, but I appreciate all the choices for cream they have available.
Yeah, others in my party had the lowertown burger. Very enthusiastic. I had the Skyway burger and was not fond of the skyway sauce. This is located on a “food court” in the downtown Skyway system. Show up during lunch and you can experience all the denizens of the downtown officedom. Staff are friendly and highly efficient. Now lunch is over a different more leisurely crowd is in attendance.
