Food is trash. Queso came out cold. Tots came out cold. Self service, but when you pay, auto-tip of 20% unless you uncheck the feature. Devious. Food didn't taste the best, but the prices weren't too crazy. Serious though, cold tots and queso is a food-crime. Too lazy to even put it in the microwave. One of the worst meals i've ever had.

Myself, mom, and cousin came in on a Friday at 4:30. We quickly ordered drinks and food. Our food came to the wrong table, we had to go find it. Our drinks never came, we had to go to the bar to get some and then were given the wrong drinks. Told we had to get a water from the waitress who never even stopped at our table. Was charged for 4 meals even though I only got 3. Took me 25 minutes to finally get someone to correct it. The bartender and waitress were clearly overwhelmed as it got busy, but they were still extremely rude and unhelpful. I understand being stressed and busy, but to be that rude is not okay. The atmosphere is great, food is fine, but would not recommend due to so many issues.

Colette is such a great bartender, when no-one pays attention, she goes above and beyond with her customer service even if it is not her tab!

Collette was awesome! Amazing bartender. Super accommodating and it was slow due to the cold weather. Stellar service and would highly recommend to anyone anywhere close to the area. A+++++++++

Not a fan of QR code restaurants. Saw this place as we were heading to a Wild Game. Ordered three cocktails - MN Mule, Old Fashioned, and Grandmas Punch. They arrived in 6 ounce plastic cups. The cocktails were gross, like they came out of a machine. My old fashioned had syrup on the bottom. Couldn't finish the mule. Not sure why I tipped 20% when there's no interaction with waitstaff. Skip this place and go to Tom Reid's or Zamboni's.

This was is likely wonderful for sports fans.
I went with a friend of mine in search of trying some place new.
Burger was good, tots (the side for everything) were like warm and not seasoned. We ordered chips and cheese dip as well. Dip was good, but we ran out of the cheese sauce and when we asked for a little more to finish our chips, there woman we asked was rude and wanted to charge us another $8.... To which we declined.
They have 2 for 1s, but you have to learn the hard way. You have to scan the QR code and order your drink. But what they don't tell you is that you have to order two drinks and then they'll take half of that off at the end when you wrap up your bill.
But you have to remember two order two each time you're ordering a drink.
It was a meh for me. Probably won't be back.

I needed to kill some time before going to the the iihf World juniors hockey tournament and stopped in. I ended up spending most of my time before and after the game there. The food was excellent and Melissa the bartender made the experience wonderful. Very friendly atmosphere and the drinks are poured well and come out fast. Highly recommend to anyone going to anyone looking for a place to go before the game.

The vibe here is what keeps me coming back. It’s lively, welcoming, and just a great place to hang out. Tone behind the bar makes the experience even better he’s super personable, quick, and clearly loves what he does. Whether you’re grabbing a quick drink or settling in for the night, this place is a must-visit.

My elderly friend and I stopped into to Smorgie’s today (12/31/25) to order food, beverages, and watch the hockey tournament and Minnesota Wild game.
When we walked in it was essentially empty with only a couple small families dining. My friend inquired about the cost of beers, the bartender who was a young white man with a heavy black beard smuggling responded, “8..9zillion dollars ” then leered at my friend very offensively before walking away - it was so disgusting.
He returned about 30 seconds later and I told him that we were leaving, he offered a hollow self-centered apology that echoed off this bar/restaurants empty walls and landed on the floor of this failing business.
We went across the street to Zamboni’s and they were packed wall-to-wall, including their downstairs space. We were greeted with a friendly bartender who politely shared the prices with my friend and we ended up having a fantastic afternoon.
I would highly advise to NOT go to Smorgie’s as they clearly retain very offensive staff that will eventually drive this business into the ground.
Saint Paul residents and visitors deserve far better.
Overall great place to grab a bite. We ended up here by accident but pleasantly surprised. Burgers were on lock and the beer was cold. Check em out if your up in St Paul.

Cool place. Food is decent. Appreciate how the place is open late and the kitchen is open late too. Would bring friends here to chill to have a casual night out. Hard to find places like this nowadays with late night service.
