Some of the best donuts I’ve ever had—no question. The maple bacon one blew me away. The filling is rich and flavorful, and the donut itself is perfectly soft and delicious. You can tell they care about quality. I’ll absolutely be coming back every time I’m in St. Paul. This place is a gem.

Incredible food, fantastic staff. Love the little window on the corridor near the farmers market. You can also access So Yen from inside the building and there are some tables in a lobby area. I would love to see a menu with a little more description of the offerings since many are unfamiliar to me - maybe a mobile menu with photos? I’ll definitely be back!

The donuts are good but the filling is pretty much the same flavor for any donut you choose. The only difference is what fruit they put on top of it. Would be better if the filling flavors matched the topping. The pork congee has zero flavor, but once you add the tiny spicy sauce that comes with it, it tastes a lot better. The location sucks. They really should get a different and better space. The seating area is just a big empty hallway, no cozy atmosphere or any decor whatsoever. There were about 5 or 6 people ahead of us and we waited probably about 5 minutes in line. Then we waited another 15 minutes for our order to be ready.

Congee and donuts are awesome!!! 5/5. Fluffy/pillow but also dense. I think I could go with less filling though.
The egg sandwich donut wasn’t my cup of tea, didn’t like the combination of Flavours.
Laab fries were okay. Laab seasoning goes better on protein.
I’d come back for the congee and donuts. Have yet to try the hmong sausauge sandwich.

I live near by and its my favorite thing about the weekends. Their Hmong Sausage Breakfast Sandwiches made their way into my weekly schedule and I'm not complaining.
They're always extremely busy (duh cause they're awesome) but even then my wait is never more than a few minutes. With that said though, I would not mind waiting for such amazing food.
I'm moving soon so I'm sad they won't be a quick walk away anymore, but that certainly won't stop me from making my way back from time to time!
If you haven't grabbed a donut, breakfast sandwich, and a Thai tea from here yet, what are you even doing???
Picked up a donut and Thai iced tea from the walk up window and both were amazing! I love the unique donut flavors offered and the mix of savory and sweet options. This place is going to become a lowertown classic.
