Great drip, espresso sodas, and lattes. I ordered 8 drinks as their second customer for the morning and they were very friendly. Everyone I bought drinks for loved them. I was disappointed that I could not stay longer and do some reading/ working since the space was so nice. I will be back next time I am in MSP.
Coffee always slaps but the service isn’t great. I do order here a good amount of times as its walking distance from my house. I do really recommend the coffee/drinks here but don’t expect the service to be good.
I like it here. Very cozy place and with decent prices not much parking but service is always friendly. Vibe is cool most are kinda like hipsters.
Loved their specialty cherry latte, and I had the rhubarb pastry which was also quite tasty. Cute shop. Would definitely go back.
The Spyhouse has been good to me over the years and a long time essential Twin Cities spot. I've been many times to all locations and nearly 2 decades ago when I 1st started loving cafes as a lifestyle the Nicolette spot was a thrice+ weekly venue for me (man I miss those late nights when the doors were still open until way after dark and then we'd head down to Caffetto for super late coffee or over to the Bedlam theater). Now I live near Nokomis and love biking up the hill to the St. Paul spot. This smallish spot has music in the background, big old windows that face south and west, tables real close to each other and a pretty decent summer patio. Always consistently very good drinks. I usually do coffee drinks but also enjoy the Matcha latte there. They have decent matcha and make it fairly strong which is good. Just ask for no sweetener or it will be sweetened. Why is that a thing? Nobody automatically sweetens a coffee latte. Oh well, whatever, lots of places do this to matcha. Anyway they have a generally friendly vibe but sometimes have a genuinely non-plussed or even real busy vibe which I actually think really fit swell in a café from time to time. I'm serious, I like it. I love the Spyhouse.
I love the coffee and pastries here. It's always busy and full of people. The staff are polite, but not friendly at all. I never feel welcome. I still go there because I like the lattes that much, but I wish the service was better. I've worked service jobs before. I always leave this place feeling disappointed.
They have amazing coffee collection & their service was good. It’s not easy to find good matcha but theirs was so good. I really enjoyed a lot!

A classic Minnesota coffee shop, now unfortunately, featuring prices that are even higher than their chain competitors like Starbucks and Caribou. After tax, I paid close to eight dollars for their signature, spy, girl latte, and I recall it tasting much better in the past, this one was a bit disappointing, as it tasted so watered down, it was really hard to describe, but the rich flavor I once remembered, now seem to be missing. As always, though the staff was very friendly, even though service seem to be quite slow on this particular Monday morning. Perhaps I will return soon and try a coffee with a different type of milk and flavoring. Regardless, I would still rather give house my money then to a big corporate chain. The spy house this one in particular are still really good places to work and work and meet friends.
