Came to try Moonflower Pizza! Made a reservation for a Saturday night and it was not needed. Only two other tables occupied when we got there around 6.
The person that served us was awesome and very friendly!
We were able to get happy hour apps and we tried the wings and the mini antipasti.
My husband liked the wings, but wished there was more sauce. He said they were cooked well, but needed more flavor and more sauce would have helped.
I loved the mini antipasti. The bread was delicious especially with the fig jam and fresh mozzarella. I didn’t care for the pickled peppers, but my husband liked them.
We split a margherrita pizza and it was pretty good! Not the best I’ve had, but definitely far from the worst!
For dessert we tried the lemon ice and the vanilla gelato.
The lemon ice was way too sour for me, but my husband liked it. He said it did have a strange bitter aftertaste though.
I didn’t care for the gelato. The texture was odd and it left a weird waxy texture in my mouth and there were globs of I think milk fat in my mouth after eating it. Not pleasant.

The Banh mi Benedict was better than expected. I ate as much as I could before getting into the pancake 🥞 which was a 12/10 highly recommend!
We took the leftover pancake to go and snacked on it all afternoon.

They recently started serving dinner - woodfired pizza, some delicious sides and salads. I had the sprinkle ceasar and the roasted brussel sprouts with sweet potatoes, ricotta and balsamic glaze. Wrapped up my meal with yummy gelato. Everything was DELICIOUS and the service was exceptional.

Came to have brunch for my sister's birthday. Our first time. Everything was great, loved the natural lighting and atmosphere. Service was a little slow to order, and for water but as soon as we placed our orders, it came out within 15-20 minutes. Maybe we went on a day where there was no AC or maybe they were trying to not turn on the AC and just rely on fans, but it was kind of humid inside 😅 and maybe because it was hot that day....overall, we enjoyed our first time and the food.
First time here, I had the breakfast sandwich and with the quiche, very pleased with the food. The staff was pleasant and helpful.
They were super quick in getting us brunch. The tomato basil soup was very good as well as their omelettes.
I really liked the vibe, and our server was wonderful! It gets busy on weekends! We ordered the Banh Mi Eggs Benedict with hash browns and the Blueberry Pancake. The Banh Mi was delicious, though a bit on the salty side. The pancake was more like an actual cake—an interesting experience, but not my favorite. The hash browns were fantastic, though! The coffee was good, and the mimosas were decent. Overall, it was an okay experience.
Prices are on the higher side. Breakfast was great. Coffee was good.
Went here for brunch with a friend. The place looked great, but it was pricier than I expected. I wasn’t super hungry, so I went with what looked like the cheapest thing on the menu—a plain buttermilk pancake. My mistake. If I had checked the reviews first, I would’ve known what I was in for.
I didn’t love it, but honestly, I’m not sure what I expected—it was just a big (extra thick) plain pancake. Everything else I saw coming out of the kitchen looked amazing, so I can’t fault The Hen overall. I was mostly just disappointed by the price: my pancake, coffee, and tip came out to over $25, which felt like way too much. Meanwhile, my friend got the omelet special with hashbrowns, and I definitely envied her choice.
We ate outside on the sidewalk on a beautiful day.
Comfortable cafe with indoor and outdoor seating, yummy food and coffee, and friendly staff. Vegetarian options. Would return!

Awesome choices for breakfast or brunch. Great staff and atmosphere.
It is very cute and aesthetically pleasing but the space inside is tight and not a lot of room. It does get busy on the weekends so prepare to wait for a table or reserve ahead of time. Got their eggs Benedict and the pork was super salty. Good portions but a bit pricier than normal breakfast place.
They don't want you to go unless you agree with them politically. 😒 #PoliticalStandards #NoGoing
Good breakfast and good service. I'll be back ?
We've come here quite a few times over the years and the food has always been really solid, an easy breakfast go to, unfortunately the price and service have seemed to take a turn for the worse lately. The prices have gotten unreasonably high, easily 20+ per person for breakfast entrees and then drinks are even more! Also we were there in a group of 6 for about an hour, besides ordering, getting food, and then the check, our waitress didn't stop by to check in once, even though it wasn't that busy. If you get a refill drink don't count on getting any refills! Cautiously hopeful, but doesn't look like they are going in the right direction
