Tom was an awesome server! We had the borrow perogis and they were delicious. The beef was so tender it melted in your mouth. My boyfriend had the beef can chicken and absolutely loved it. I had the turkey crab melt and it was honestly the best sandwich I have had in my entire life.

Was my favorite restaurant for a very long time and I've brought basically everyone I know to the Gnome over the years.
However, it has changed a lot recently. The food and drinks are not as tasty, but still expensive. The restaurant has always been loud, but now it's loud and cold as well, making it quite uncomfortable.
They've also done away with the gnome aesthetic, replacing whimsical art with customer written notes and adding an AI generated firefighter to the menu.
To top it off, when you pay they prompt you to donate money (with a service charge) to The Front Line Foundation (which the restaurant owner is a board member of).
Sad to say I won't be returning to The Gnome.

Love the Gnome, but I am so sad that they took their drunken noodles off the menu! One of the best things I have ever eaten, please bring the drunken noodles back!

I had such a great time at Gnome Pub in St. Paul! The mimosa flight was amazing—such a fun way to try different flavors. Plus, they have a really solid selection of beers, so there’s something for everyone. The vibe of the place is relaxed and cozy, which makes it perfect for hanging out with friends or just enjoying a quiet drink.
Didn't eat so no review of food.

I suggested The Gnome to a friend because I remembered a cozy fireplace on the 2nd level. But not only was that unavailable, we found the restaurant to be uncomfortably cold on a January afternoon.
The food was very good and the service was fine, but I guess I’ll just limit future visits to the excellent patio in warm weather.

Super nice staff. Good enough rail choices. Hardly any gluten-free options. The prices were fine. Seems like a great place to just hangout. I never saw any real-life gnomes tho

Has off street parking. I had the fried chicken and biscuits, was so good! Good seasoning, hot, and yummy. I also had the grapefruit mamosa, also very good. Server was very attentive. Limited brunch menu but everything we had we liked.

Fantastic food, an insane tap list, and great service. I yearn for their pretzel.
Update 12/02/25
Seems like this got a few views so I want to update it. Haven't been back since not long after I initially reviewed. Almost 3 years ago. Wife and I prefer sitting at the bar but the next few times we went the bartender would walk past and ignore our empty drinks multiple times. Got to the point the service was so bad we stopped going. Not sure if he still works there. Pretzel got smaller and costs more too.

Great beer selection. Unfortunately the food went downhill after The Gnome lost it's Happy. No longer a well executed and inventive menu. The patio is still great tho.

Seemed fine food wise but I paid $16 for a Manhattan that did not have a cherry in it.
