This was our third time there. Every time we have had excellent service and superb food. We have been here twice now for my wife’s birthday, and she thinks of getting the eggs Benedict again all year long. Very attentive, but not pushy service. Generous portions for food this high-quality and creative. We never order sides, but we make their blue cornmeal, pancakes an exception to that. The owner is often there and from what I have witnessed, they are involved and supportive of the local community.

To any customers looking at reviews, make sure to read the comment the restaurant left under my original review. To the restaurant, you have no idea what I have been going through in this awful time and how it has affected me. Maybe I just wanted a nice cup of tea that's not bitter from steeping too long. And that was only one part of my review. Unfortunately, from your complete overreaction, I know just how pleasant the staff at this establishment is and I won't give them my business in the future.
Original review - While the service was good and the cinnamon roll was fantastic (I think it's made from croissant dough) that is where it ends. I got the eggs Benedict with no pepper and hash browns. The hash browns had no flavor, they weren't worth eating. The hollandaise sauce was very spicy! You could see tons of little red flecks all throughout. I had to scrape it off so I could eat any of it. I will say that the bacon was good, and the English muffin was exceptional, but you couldn't taste those over the other spices. And a thing that is just an annoyance, I ordered hot tea and the bag was in the hot water when it was brought to the table, so I couldn't keep track of the steep time.
In town for an Augsburg basketball game and chose The High Hat for breakfast. We go out for breakfast often and I have to say this was the best omelet I have ever had! The owner Michael runs a great business! We will be back.

We stopped for brunch. It was amazing. We told Mike the owner we were in a rush. He was amazing. Food also was delicious. Staff told me later, they all agree he’s the best boss anyone has ever had. Thanks, Mike. It was a pleasure to dine with you. We stopped by later and they had just closed at 2 PM. But they even offered us coffee to go. We’ll be back. Great restaurant, great people!

We came in for the first time on an incredibly busy Sunday afternoon off of a tiktok recommendation. We were quickly seated before our estimated wait time by a very sweet and accommodating hostess. The menu is unique and the food is delightful. I had trouble deciding what to order and opted for the skillet cinnamon roll and the cornbread benedict. The cinnamon roll was flaky and delicious. The cornbread benedict was one of the best things I have ever eaten- I'm sitting here eating my leftovers as I write this. You can tell a great care was put into this menu and into the leadership that so efficiently gets through a rush of Sunday's proportions.

This a very quaint Cathedral Hill Cafe.
I dropped off my girlfriend at the door then drove off to hunt for parking. What an adventure - found a street spot 3 blocks away. But hey it was a Saturday and it's a popular spot!
It had great buzz with very pleasant, accommodating & approachful staff.
Our server was great, menu easy to work thru, selections were interesting and appealing, and the turnaround time very good considering that the rest was full with a wait list.
The Food...
Coffee and OJ were very good. I like the fact that they provide cream in little ceramic pitcher as opposed to PC's (portion control cups) - fresh and tastes better - nice touch!
Breakfast Bowl
Tasty and a decent portion. Vegetables, wild rice, eggs, and salsa were wonderful .
I ordered it with turkey sausage to be mixed with it. We asked the server if it was sausage crumble - she said it's very good but didn't say it was overcooked little sliced up links. Bummer. Doesn't look good and most importantly it didn't taste good.
Megas
Turkey sausage aside, the blue corn pancakes, eggs, black beans were very good.
Overall a good experience.
(I did tell the server about the sausage. She thanked me for the input and said she'd pass it on - but didn't do anything about it.)

Sensory overload, but not in a good way. Tables are crammed in, unable to enjoy a conversation due to the noise, and even with it being a small restaurant the bar/coffee bar couldn’t keep up and we got our coffees after the meal was delivered. Wish I could say the food made up for it, but it was average. Maybe fewer tables and reservations are the way to go to improve the vibe and quality of the experience?

Really good neighborhood spot. Skillet Carmel roll phenomenal!
I unfortunately will likely never go here again. I sat at the bar near the records which gave a great look at everything behind the bar and coming out of the expo line.
A quick summary of what I saw, fresh food like bags of onions sitting on the floor behind the bar and in the kitchen, trays of clean dishes being dragged around on the floor, bus tubs full of dirty dishes all over the floor, servers dropping dishes on the floor and just leaving them, dirty towel wrapped around the coffee steamer that gets dipped into your latte. Some of these are obvious health code violations. You literally can't put anything on the bottom of the floor of walk in freezer. I can't imagine putting my clean dishes on the bar floor. Overall, just a chaotic and disgusting working environment.
Additionally, our server forgot our drinks but that was the least of my concerns.
