Disappointing breakfast today. Server couldn’t get my order right or bring the side of Hollandaise that I ordered, when I didn’t eat my food, she offered to box it up. Why would I want to eat food later that wasn’t to my liking while in the cafe? She didn’t offer to take it off the bill despite the fact I never touched it because I was waiting for the Hollandaise she couldn’t be bothered to bring. Owner didn’t seem to notice that I didn’t eat my food either. He had promised me a special breakfast- when I stated my appetite was pretty small. Hopefully the server noticed the $1 tip on the $55 breakfast bill for 3 people. Sad… used to love this place.

The Uptowner Eggs Benedict has some kick, but it is awesome. Omelets made from scratch cinnamon pancakes and hashbrowns are all incredible. Parking on street or behind.

Best salad I have had in soooo long! Really kitschy and cool, feels like home.
This classic diner is an easy 5-star establishment. The service was impeccable; there is no chance that my drink was going to be empty for even a millisecond. They were always on top of topping it off no matter how fast I tried to drink. The atmosphere is charming; there are hundreds of pieces of art from previous customers and children hanging on their wall, truly feeling local and warm. The early bird special is impossible to beat — not because of the price but the fact that they said, “Enjoy, you early birds!” when they handed us our food.

Great old forgotten place I have reconnected with in my beloved St. Paul. Been going regularly with friends and the food is very good! Eggs Benedict is my favorite and the hash browns are excellent. Service is fabulous. The place is old and shows it but the atmosphere is great for those of us that love an older place with character.
