Great food but they don't accept cash or take orders over the phone. The staff team seems cool, but it looks like the management and/or owners have sticks in places they shouldn't be.
You need to have a smart phone and/or debit card to eat here. You're a pizza place, get over yourself. The no cash policy targets people who don't have debit or credit cards which is just a really sneaky way to make your establishment inaccessible to certain types of people. Trust my neighbors or get out of my neighborhood. If you sell products, you should accept money as payment. There is no excuse for this pearl-clutching attitude. Do better or get lost 😀

On Tuesdays this establishment has an offer: buy one pizza and soda, and get one pizza and soda free! Just like the advertisement says in the restaurant's window. Purchased a couple cheesesteaks and a pizza. When the food arrived at our table the free pizza was missing. I inquired at the counter that I ordered a pizza but didn't receive the free pizza as is advertised on the large advertisement in the restaurant's window. The employee at the counter said if I didn't specifically ask for the deal when ordering, you don't get the deal. Sneaky! Well, the sign doesn't advertise those instructions to specifically ask for the free pizza when ordering, as the employee indicated it did. Wrong! Instead of providing quality customer service the employee said there was nothing he could do to make things right for my group. Lousy! So we were short on food for our meal. Thought it would be a no brainer that if someone ordered a pizza on free pizza Tuesdays they would also get the extra free pizza? Nope!

The food at Tonos Pizza was amazing, but the service completely ruined the experience. The worker taking my order was rude and impatient, acting annoyed that I didn’t know exactly what I wanted right away. He barely gave me a second to think before getting short with me, which made the whole interaction frustrating. It’s a shame because the food was great, but with service like that, I’m not in a hurry to come back.

Haven't tried the pizza yet, should've cause they don't know Philly cheese hoagies, taste like subway,it's OK if you're just hungry but no seasoning fireworks on your palate, forget about it..

Vegetarian options: Terrible meat smelling plant based probably impossible meat, their protocols don't protect vegans nor vegetarians, taste like they cooked it in meat greese, predominantly immigrant staff not conscious of keeping plant based options clear of any meat..

Parking: Just go in the back

The pepperoni bianco that we ordered was delicious, nice crust. We held the hot honey. Wife chose, I prefer red sauce pizzas but this was delicious with plenty of cheese. The focaccia was my favorite with the rosemary roasted by the wood fired oven and the crispy crust it was amazing. All in all I enjoyed it. It’s a small location with only a few tables. Service was good.

The only issue I have is they don’t accept cash which sucks being a waitress I usually only have cash on me. Probably won’t be ordering as much. But great food.

Noisy atmosphere. Dry meat. Mediocre bread. This was described to me as the best cheesesteak in Minneapolis but I would not recommend.

Been going here since they opened a few years ago. Pizzas are decent - about one grade above your dime-a-dozen cardboard pizza places. The pizze fritta is particularly delicious (although, what isn't delicious when deep-fried?).

Service is typically friendly and not too rapid, although the payment terminal attempts to elicit a tip despite this being a restaurant without wait staff (table service is not wait staff).

The atmosphere is ok if a bit bland. Particularly off-putting however is the very long sign, which has been present for years, informing guests that owing to 'recent events' in the neighborhood they don't take cash. I really hate going into a local eatery and having them declare that this is a 'bad neighborhood' when it's not. What recent events? Just post a sign saying 'card only' and be done with it, don't put it on the community as if you're not a part of it. I couldn't believe it was still up when I visited most recently, it's off-putting enough that I don't want to come back.

I really wanted to like this pizza place and I was so excited to try the fungo pizza because it had truffle oil on it. The pizza was seasoned with a basil-herb seasoning which completely took over the pizza, leaving a very disappointing non-truffle oil tasting pizza. Also for those interested in the gluten-free crust, it was an Udi's like crust (cardboard in taste and appearance). With all that being said the pizzas themselves weren't horrible, but not really something to write home about.

Dietary restrictions: Gluten free crust was UDI's like (cardboard like in taste and appearance)

Pizzas are a great value. Better faster than Punch. Sandwiches are a little overpriced but come with fries. The dining room is always disgusting and really unkempt. Like the old Smash other in Highland. They used to have beer but … not sure if they lost a license, or cost more than it was worth.

Cheesesteak was really good, although I was missing the classic Chicago giardiniera flavor. There is nothing sour/fresh to counterbalance the richness of the meat and the cheese.

Pizza was not good, sorry, the dough was undercooked, maybe their oven temperature is too high.

Fries were okay and came with lots of cheese.

They are a cheesesteak sandwich and pizza place. They have their own aioli sauces and offer fries with the sandwiches. The only reason for 4 and not 5 stars is the drinking cups are smaller and they don't take cash.
