When got there no one greeted us. A lady just pointed us to a empty table. We had their pho and chicken wings. Other people was serve with beans sprouts n greens except us. Pho was well below average, salty and a sour taste with no beef flavor to be found. The wing was soggy and flavorless. The plane white rice was the best thing about whole meal. Food was weak and the service was weaker, plus they had the audacity to charge 18% gratuity😕

The special pho and boat noodles is ok, nothing special but over price for the hype. I’ll let the receipt speak for itself.

Pork pho was pretty good. I ordered a regular for take out and it was a decent amount.
I also got a Pineapple Fried rice. It is advertised as having Pineapple, Onion, Cashews, Scallions And Carrot (plus whatever protein you choose). It came with pineapple, onion, scallion, pecans, peanuts, raisins, and my protein. I don't like raisins in my pineapple fried rice so I wouldn't have gotten it, had it been advertised. Plus pecans don't really vibe with the dish.

food was good and adequate for the price. i got the pho and larb for $5 each; unfortunately, the spices did not shine through with the pork larb.

The foods are ok. I like the $5 menu. I dislike that they automatic added 18% tips to your order no matter the total, because the services don't deserve 18%. We ask for trays to take foods home and we look the staff in the eyes when we ask for it. She went to the kitchen, 5 mins later came out and went straight to the cashier. Then 5 mins later we ask her a 2nd time to get the take home trays. Overall, 3 stars for my experience eating here.

went on a Wednesday for their $5 pho/boat noodle special.

upon arrival we (party of 2) were greeted and sat down immediately. the waitress gave us water in these 4 small plastic cups so that if we needed refills later then we would drink the extras first. later a diff waiter came and said why did we get those small cups so he gave us full sized ones instead. lol

got 2x boat noodles, raw laab, papaya & Mango smoothie.

boat noodles were okay. i would go somewhere else nxt time. we were told the $5 promo means they come in small sizes but we were ok with that. even then the size was just right for us overall.

raw laab was okay. the papaya (lao style) was really good & spicy though, I liked it.

service was friendly.

This is an incredible place. It's new in St Paul as of 6 months ago, so take any negative reviews with a grain of salt. The owner Spencer and everyone that works for them are incredible. Good prices, great atmosphere, good menu. I've been to 51 countries and these guys help any customer feel like you're back home. They go up and over literally more than i've seen in years. You want fun? Come here. You won't be disappointed.

Sticks floor, waitress can't do simple math and you will be overcharged. No refill on water. Seems very ratchets.

I’ve been here for multiple times now. Their service has gone better and foods gotten better. I always go for their kapoon and lab when I’m here. Will continue to come here for lunch!

$10 worth of food.

Stopped by here for lunch on a Sunday and it was a quiet morning. We were the 2nd party to arrive but quickly within the hour, 4 other parties arrived (parties of 2-8). Read other reviews and yes service was slow, but because of the amount of customers, I wasn't surprised. When we were seated, the waitress handed us the $5 menu right away. There were several options to choose from (beef pho, khapoon, papaya, sausage with rice, chicken wings with rice, pork belly with rice, etc) .

My husband went back to grab a regular menu and we orders other food.

I would say all the noodle dishes, papaya salad were good. The chicken feet and chicken wing batter is not my cup of tea but still good.

I would dine in again and try the rest of their menu. Maybe even try an evening here. Quick scan of the bar area and there are beautiful decor on the walls. We only sat in the dining area but a scan in the bar area shows there's even a bigger room on the other side.

Overall: A poor and uncomfortable dining experience due to the unprofessional service, despite the food being decent for the price.

Service:
While the food was decent value for the money, our experience was ruined by the poor and dismissive service we received. The waiter, who seemed to be the owner (guy), ignored multiple requests. He ignored my first attempt to get him to clear our table of dishes, dishes were piling up. He also ignored my request for a water refill after I had finished a spicy meal. Called out “excuse me” to get his attention, but was ignored.
The most frustrating part was when we tried to pay. He refused to process three separate transactions, claiming his system wasn't set up for it. Turns out, he didn’t know how to use his very own system. His attitude made it clear that he simply didn't want to help. This behavior was unprofessional and made for a very uncomfortable final interaction. It's a shame the service was so poor from an actual owner, as the atmosphere was a standard, normal restaurant environment.
