Great old place to have a beer that was originally brewed in 1848. Situated amongst older homes and crooked streets, this beautiful establishment has an old world feel and lots of character. Come for the beer, stay for the conversation.

My favorite place to grab a beer. Huge selection from breweries all over Europe, plus local brews. Friendly service and great sausages and pretzels.

This place is a hidden gem for beer! We went here for Belgium beer on tap, and I ended up trying a flight of their 4 house brewed beers. All of them were excellent, but even out of the other 4 Belgium options we sampled, my favorite is the Black Forest Lager. I bought a growler to take home!
We also tried the Yoerg Sandwich and a Vinschgauer Brötchen, and both were super good! The owner and/or manager stopped by and could not have been more kind and welcoming. We'll definitely be back!

Best bar I’ve ever went to, with an encyclopedia worth of selections and perfect food pairings.

Best bar in town for things European and off the beaten path. Absolutely amazing selection! Not a full kitchen/restaurant but very far from the minimum. Everything they have to eat is high quality. Very nice employees and great atmosphere.
As always my husband and I had a great time. Some of the best beer we've ever had, and their snacks are delicious. We also love the cozy atmosphere.

First of all, I'd give 10 stars if I could. My wife and I stopped by for a late lunch Jan. 29, 2025 after viewing the ice sculpture at Rice Park. Great atmosphere in a historic building. The soft pretzel appetizer was fantastic .. perfectly salted along with some mustard. I had the mini-sausage plate of the Usinger Hungarian Sausage and a Usinger Brat. My wife had the bratwurst on a bun with hot German potato salad. We also each had a pint of the Yoerg Amber. Everything was FANTASTIC. Special shout-out to "bartender server" Barry who explained the menu. And told us about the special $3.00 parking at the Metro State University ramp across the street. All in all, it was a fantastic lunch and a great place to visit.
Feb 23, 2025 update. Just got back from the 2025 Bock Beer Festival. Had an exceptional time. Will visit again on St Patrick's Day.
March 17, 2025. My wife and I had lunch today at Yoerg's. The Sullivan beer was fantastic, and it was probably the best Reuben Sandwich I've ever had. Too bad this place is so far from my house in the Northern Burbs. Otherwise, I think I'd be at Yoerg's every day. Special shout-out to Erin who served us on her first day at Yoerg's. My wife and I both appreciated your attentive service.
Parking: Park in the Metro State Parking Ramp. Keep your original parking ticket. Then ask the bartender for the special Yoerg brewing parking ticket. Keep both. When returning to the MSU ramp, find a pay station and insert the first MSU parking ticket you got when entering the ramp. Then insert the Yoerg parking ticket. You will then receive a receipt ticket that you will use at the exit gate when leaving the ramp. Works great.

Great German style brew pub. Eccentric, cozy atmosphere and amazingly large beer and wine list. Many of the beers and wines are nearly impossible to find anywhere else in the country.

They have a little of everything for beers and wines. Old monastery brews to some local beers. Information on the breweries with the charm of an older building to boot. Great time with great adult beverages for all taste profiles.

The beer tender was very nice and knowledgeable. There's SOOOO many options. We only split a pretzel but the mustard was quite yummy.

Great set up in St Paul with a DEEP selection of beer. Enjoyed the liverwursr on the last visit - paired great with our drinks! Server was awesome - attentive, had recommendations, and always got our wide mix of beer orders back to us successfully (great memory).

One of the best spots in the metro to just sit and have a beer and some great food. Don't expect a big meal here, it's all pub grub, but it's also all very good. Massive beer list and great German-style food and sausages. Atmosphere is perfect.
