The Coop is a wonderful little family oriented restaurant & is an absolute GEM in ssp! I have been coming here for quite some time now. & I must say the food is absolutely DELICIOUS! Prices are fair. & the staff has always been very friendly to me & extremely helpful. So if you find yourself in south st. Paul, craving a burger & fries, fried chicken or some cheese curds stop in to the Coop. I promise you will not regret it!
I just want to say well done. Fresh hot chicken and awesome Coney dog the mini doughnuts were 10/10 as well. Great service considering there were only two people running the place. We will absolutely stop back. Nice patio seating out front to relax and enjoy this awesome 70° October weather.

My new favorite place for takeout chicken. This chicken is the best - they make it fresh - i don't have words to describe how good it is, you just have to go get some. Even the breasts were amazing. Potato wedges! Even the dinner rolls had my family raving! The staff were friendly, helpful, and genuine. I will be back again and again. I need to try the burgers next...
Food was pretty good, the wings were absolutely doused in sauce which if that's your thing than you will be in heaven, for me it was a bit much, but could be worked around by just sliding it off with my fries. I wasn't told about the fact that a drink comes with my chicken wing basket though, so I bought one on its own, and then after looking at the online menu saw that I was supposed to get one with the basket, so I told that to the employee and they told me it wasn't true until I got them to ask someone in the back who confirmed my basket did come with a drink at which point I just got a second can of pop. Employee was nice about it after that though and I understand how it is, if I go back I'd probably try a burger basket as those seem to be an excellent value.

My absolute favorite lunch (coneys) in SSP. Also, my favorite dinner (chicken). The staff is always kind and welcoming (Sandy is the best!) and knows my order when I walk in the door. Karen and Joel (owners) are always around and up for a good conversation. In the age of strip-mall food joints and chains everywhere, The Coop is the kind of place that offers something different… real food, real people, and the best experience. This is an excellent family-owned spot with absolutely fantastic food!

Just picked up our Sunday Labor Day chicken and ribs and they are delicious. Been coming here since the 1970's. Now we live in Hudson and still think it's worth the trip. Thank you for all the years of excellent food.
