Hi-Stakes Cafe & Bar

Stopped be recently for the first time. The girls who work the front are all sweethearts and attentive. I had some drinks, food and played some tabs. This place is just a classic clean bar. They open early and serve breakfast. And the prices were great. I forgot that afford places like this still exist.

Yes, I was in there last Thursday at Monty‘s to play bingo. My husband and I got there around three thirtyish 325 and they came up to us gave us menus gave us her drinks. It’s getting to be 345. The waitress just finally comes around and I’m like oh she’s like yeah I had to wait to clock in and the waitress only stayed on the one side and then when they did the meat raffle, I asked about the tickets she’s like she’s coming around and they said no she hasn’t come to me. They were just going to the bar selling the tickets to all their friends. And all those people were winning the meat raffle and also I had a Bingo. None of of the bingo workers were on my side of the restaurant . I almost lost a Bingo. I had to say it three times somebody at the bar had to say it four times and she kept wanting to close. They were all just talking to their friends and the people they know and kind of you know that that’s not fair and I don’t think with the meat raffle they should’ve went to everybody. I mean I had to ask like four times if I could get a ticket and they were all sold out because you know they were selling them to their friends. I

Terrible service, weren’t greeted for 20 min, and then took another 10-15 for drinks to come (water & soda). Ordered food, someone else brought it out and we just never saw our server again. Had to ask for refills on drinks, no one checked on us ever. And the place wasn’t very busy. Alondra was just MIA.

Spacious, very welcoming staff. Clean beer tap lines. Food was tasty. Excellent variety of food on the menu. Good amount of TVs and volume was appropriate. I will be going back.

I go here once in a wild i live real close i vist other bar reason I don't vist often there cocktail suck food suck too service is great price is good too.

Arrived at 7:40pm the waitress told me the kitchen is closed. Later at 7:55, another waitress was willing to take our order and apologized someone refused us service. I just refused and said it’s okay. Having worked in restaurant business before I understand the kitchen situation. At the moment I felt like the service was refused because of the color of my skin.
Roulette table lady was super rude, unprofessional and inappropriate. Called my partner some very inappropriate names. When I called the place to speak to a manager, they seem to approve or condone this type of behavior. Sad. This isn’t a way to run a business. No accountability, just disgusting.

Best country fried steak i've ever had, toast is HUGE, and the homemeade jam is unbelievable, great cocktails too. All day breakfast too.
