Super disappointing experience. Went there on 04/29/22 at 6pm for dinner. Ordered 2 meat platter with brisket. The cashier made a big deal about the brisket, and charged a 3 dollar upcharge, which I accepted. They served me some seriously bone dry brisket, which looked like it had been sitting out for quite some time. It was super chewy and difficult to swallow. It was like eating leather. Absolutely unsatisfactory food, and why upcharge for dry meat? Additionally, They put old meat scraps in the baked beans. This place is gross, and will serve you low grade barbeque at full price, plus premium. My advice: Just avoid Hickory Hog, and let them go belly up.

So bad! I don't often throw food away, I got a pork sandwich and Mac and cheese. Dry, dry meat and tasteless goopy food service bag Mac and cheese.

Was in the area and it was lunch time so why not give them a try. I ordered the 3 ribs and fries + one side. Ribs were cold and not much meat or flavor. Maybe if they were warmer they would have some flavor. Beans tasted like store bought and jazzed up in house. Fries were ok. The restaurant was very clean but they were out of soap in the men's room. Should be minus 1/2 star for that.

As my wife and I were eating lunch yesterday I had to wonder what would lead someone to take up the tall order of starting a restaurant to serve mediocre bbq. Did they have a couple backyard bbqs at home and someone told them they should start a restaurant? I wonder if they use to care about the food they put out? Regardless, the hope and dream have been lost. There's definitely no love thrown into this food. I got the three meat sampler to try a variety of things. Brisket, Pulled pork and ribs. It's probably not fair that I judge this because I'm in the BBq business myself but the ribs had no Seasoning on them at all. The membrane in the back of the ribs wasn't pulled so it left the tough backside still attached. The ribs had a smoky smell and taste but no flavor what-so-ever. The brisket was dry as could be. Again no flavor, no Smoke ring, just blackish-gray dead meat. The pulled pork was fair. Bland. But fair. Wasn't over cooked. The baked beans were definitely canned beans with some chunks of meat thrown in. The mac n cheese was great. Creamy and good--but most likely from a box or something too. Wife had rib tips (again bland) boxed mashed potatoes and cold corn on the cob. Gotta say the star of the show was the sauce. And that's not saying much since their sweet sauce is clearly Sweet Baby Rays. I tried the hot, and it was okay but not Too much of a kick. The tangy was a really good Carolina style sauce. Actually it was so good that clearly it wasn't made in house. Sadly disappointed because I'd love to see small businesses succeed. With this level of blandness and mediocrity though, I can't expect this place will last long.

When you're a BBQ joint, you can't get by with just okay barbecue--it's all you offer and you have to nail it. We tried the brisket, which was bland and super dry; I ordered a medium burger which was very well done and dry; and we got ribs, which were decent, like a 6.5 out of 10... lots of meat, but they didn't have that rich smoky flavor you look for. The fries were excellent. Unfortunately, we won't be giving it another shot.

I had their pulled pork sandwich with fries today for lunch. The pork was great and the fries were even better. Very nice staff and pleasant surroundings. Will eat here again!

Ordered at the restaurant for a take out order. My order was taken immediately and i only waited approximately 7-10 minutes to get it. My fries were fresh and hot, my meat was tender, juicy and flavourful. The take out bag had everything in it, plastic silverware, extra napkins, bbq sauce and wet naps. Outside of it being a little on the expensive side i had a good experience and meal.

Food basically tasted like leftovers the ribs seem boiled the brisket tasted like it came from a crockpot and the corn seemed like it was left in the microwave overnight.

The food was fantastic!!! The service was excellent and very fast. We visited on the 4th of July, and they did not have dine in, as they were closing early for the Holiday. Our food was packed very nicely, and we enjoyed it at our home. The servings were quite generous, enough for a second meal. We've eaten at many top BBQ restaurants and Hickory Hog ranks right up there with the best. Can't wait for our next visit!!!

My Fiance' and I really love coming here, especially because she is gluten sensitive and can eat the menu without worry. The BBQ is always cooked well and while some of the sides are a bit meh, the corn muffins are lovely.

Its OK. It's just decent, the service was amazing but the food was just alright. I had good and bad BBQ, this isnt bad BBQ but nowhere near good in all honesty. When I order Mac N Cheese at a BBQ spot I always know I'm in for a treat. Sadly not the case for Hickory Hog. The macaroni was nowhere near cheesy and basically tasted like boxed macaroni lol, the meats and the sauces they have was great. I never had sweet tea that was that nasty though, get any drink besides that or the weird lemonade.

Great place for bbq. Would have given 5 stars, but the mac and cheese is Velveeta. I would expect a really good one from a bbq place. I can send you a great Instapot recipe that takes 10 minutes and would bring people in.

This place has a regular barbecue treat, be sure to reserve seats because it might get pretty crowded. The food is mediocre sadly, the brisket with beans is pretty satisfying yet too expensive. It's a good option for a very smoky evening, better eat a little at home first. Service is a standard traditional house. If you want service, speak up! They will be sure to take care of you.

Not impressed. I ordered Buffalo chicken wings, Mac N cheese, and French fries. When I received my wings and I got dry rub rather than Buffalo. After I brought it up to employee he went to remake them and brought back the dry rub wings with Buffalo sauce... not a good combo. The Mac and Chesse was cold in the middle. The fries were good to be honest. I really wanted to like this place but I won’t be back.
