Amazing pastries and cakes! For my loved ones with celiac, it is so comforting going to a place that is completely gluten free, no worries about cross contamination or an innocent mistake. And the food does not disappoint. Highly recommend for everyone, not just those who eat gluten free! ⭐️
Absolutely amazing! Must try!!!
Best gluten free bakery goods we’ve had anywhere!
I'm very sensitive to gluten, this is the best place in town for pastries and other baked goods, the crusts are wonderful. My husband has no problem with gluten but has eaten many gluten free products because of me. He agrees with me, and says if you didn't know it was gluten free you couldn't tell. They are just fantastic pastry, cakes and other bakery goods. Spencer has really figured out how to make great treats.
I love the vegan stuff in this place. Scrumptious sweets.
The gluten free baked goods exceeded my expectations! The jalapeño popper, sausage in a blanket, and the pop tart were all delicious. The dough was buttery and flaky, things gluten free items often lack. I would go here all the time if I lived here!
Plenty of parking, and thank goodness, because the treats inside are insanely delicious! Highly recommend the quiche!!
Shockingly delicious GF treats.
Thank you for an amazing pumpkin pie! Can’t wait to try everything else. It was so exciting to walk into a place where I can eat everything! Thank you from a celiac!!
The cupcakes were the best gluten free cake I’ve had in the twin cities! So moist and flavorful! Also love the vibe and packaging ?

I really appreciate that HTW makes vegan yummies. They have some of the best tasting sweets in the cities that are both vegan and gluten free. I frequently go and pick up baked goods ordered online. There is usually a couple items that I get. I'm glad this cute bakery has been so successful.
Excellent gf options as well as coffee. Small indoor and outdoor seating areas for 2-4 people. All in all, our favorite neighborhood spot for coffee and a treat even though we aren’t gluten-free folks!

Not sure if I'm just not the usual clientele here or what, but the interactions I had with staff felt a little off. The person behind the counter had asked about my sweater and what it said. I said it was a Snoop Dogg sweater. Not sure if they misheard me or what but they mumbled something towards me that I couldn't hear. I ordered the poptart and the caramel apple pie (both were amazingly delicious). They let me know that I could move down the line. The person at the register apologized profusely for the wait even though I hadn't really been waiting very long at all and wanted to look at everything before ordering anyways. I felt a little out of place here. The pastries were delicious, but I'm not sure if I'd make another trip.

I was recently diagnosed with celiac and feeling intimidated and overwhelmed by the diagnosis. I visited Hold the Wheat this morning and was blown away by the wide array of options, the friendly and knowledgeable staff, and, once I got home and tried everything I got, I was blown away by how tasty everything was! 10/10 all around

Just stopped in for the first time and felt I had to write a review. I have been GF for 12 years and these are the best GF pastries I have ever had. The hand pie and danish were both flaky and buttery - delicious flavors. Staff was super friendly and helpful. I will be back!
